i think it depends on the lead single n promo but we all knw the album will be platinum, i mean "4" is platinum without a top 10 mainstream hit n a 3 week leak.

I think she's going for a more global sound this time around, I have a feeling she really wants huge hits as well as good music. She's such a strong seller, I think it's really hard to guesstimate now considering we have no idea what she's going for but you know her next era will be huge.

Halo sold around 6 million globally.
1.2+ million 4 Europe
3.170 million 4 N/A
1.2 million 4 south Korea +100k for the rest of Asia
255k for Oceania
150k for S/A
=6.075.000 million.
Oh and media traffic make me sick.they only count 10% of south Korea sells.but I'd bet if it was Rihanna/Katy that was selling millions of singles there they would be counting it a 200%

Stanning for Beyoncé has genuinely made every other basic live 'performance' from the lessors look painful.
When people rave about certain artists finally bringing 'choreography' into their videos and performances and it's like..What choreography?
No time for this.
Bey needs to come back for her throne and her coins.

Kind of? This place flat out openly biased against her. The HQ thread mods will flat out say you can't be a mod if you're a known Beyonce fan and trolling Bey threads is preferred of potential mods which is like even if that was meant to be in jest. Is it really that deep?
I like the forum because it's big, fast moving and I see music news getting here before I see it anywhere else, but, it's not Bey fan friendly in the least bit. I remember my first warning point on here was a thread about artists impacting history in general outside of music and I posted that Webster acknowledged Bootylicious as a word and added it to the dictionary after the song, accompanied with a gif of Bey dancing and I got an "annoying" warning point. Like?
My warnings sit at 0 pretty much 100% of the time now simply because I am super careful as the most benign posts coming from a Bey fan, can be deemed warn worthy.

It looks like it has always been, but it also looks like it kind of has gotten worse recently, I've noticed.
But if you think about it, Beyonce is kind of out of place here. Like said on the previous page, she's the only contemporary R&B female being recognized in this huge worship circle of bunch of pop girls whom all carry the same sound recently.
Even though it comes along with a lot of (especially MUSICALLY) ignorant comments, I'd say it's a huge feat for Bey.

Just saw this little write up on USA Today College and thought it was really cute:
Quote:
Advice For Your Undergraduate Career from Beyoncé
Published September 25th, 2012
By Upma Kapoor
The ever-changing landscape of pop music features bandwagons that are irresistibly enticing to join. Recently, we have witnessed the rise and return of boy bands on the radio (i.e. One Direction) and the lament of longing that 20-something girls constantly croon (Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe).
But there is one classic performer who has remained an awesome, active presence in music since the ‘90s: Beyoncé.
Hip-hop, R&B, pop: Girl has it all on lock. Each song is as fearless as she is with her solo career. I have yet to come across another female figure in the industry as intimate, wise and empowering as Beyoncé.
College can be intimidating at first. However, it is so much easier to abandon your anxiety in exchange for strength when listening to Beyoncé. These songs, with lyrics taken entirely out of context, truly guide my undergraduate experience and will enhance yours.
Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)
“I need no permission / did I mention / Don’t pay him any attention / ‘Cause you had your turn / and now you gonna learn / What it really feels like to miss me”
If there is an anthem in pop that preaches the power of single livin’, it’s Single Ladies. Never mind the fierce choreography — you’re in college and you’re not tied down to any convention, whatsoever. You are free to hop around from major to major and really experiment with what course of study suits you. Remember that, in the grand scheme of things, college is about your own personal and intellectual enrichment.
Plus, you can apply this to your love life (or lack thereof) guilt-free.
Diva
“All my ladies get it up / I see you, I do the same / Take it to another level / No passengers on my plane”
“Take it to another level” is basic, but often forgotten in college; do not shy away from challenging yourself. College can be a rigorous, mind-boggling institution. The biggest challenge is to do something with everything you have learned and push yourself to synthesize something greater than you previously anticipated.
Run the World (Girls)
“My persuasion can build a nation / Endless power, our love we can devour”
Beyoncé is so unbelievably straightforward: Do not sell yourself short. You have countless resources available to you at school — professors, libraries, databases, career services — that are waiting to help you. Most importantly, do not doubt your voice. Maybe during karaoke, but not when you are deeply invested in a cause or experience you believe in.
Survivor (by Destiny’s Child)
“I’m a survivor / I’m not goin’ give up / I’m not goin’ stop / I’m goin’ work harder”
Beyoncé is the Midas of most clichés where she can sing anything and it will, to an extent, become pure gold. This is nothing short of gold.
College is a place where many do struggle. Fact: You will struggle. The key is to swallow your pride and learn to handle everything, from balancing extracurriculars to settling on a major. The first step, explained in another (extraordinarily timeless) cliché, is to believe in yourself.
Best Thing I Never Had
“What goes around comes back around”
Karma, for one reason or another, seems like a theme in college. You do not have to be a deceitful, heartless, high-grade-hungry fiend to succeed in school. When you do good, it will come back to you. This, essentially, reminds me of a fantastic Abraham Lincoln quote:
“When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel bad, and that is my religion.”
Beyoncé and Lincoln were obviously on the same wavelength in different time periods.
I Was Here
“I just want them to know / That I gave my all, did my best / Brought someone to happiness / Left this world a little better just because”
Beyoncé released this video last month in honor of the first-ever World Humanitarian Day. On campus, there are plenty of ways to get involved with a cause that can flourish with your efforts. Volunteering around your community, fundraising for charity and even voicing your concerns and offering solutions will go a long way. Colleges may seem like a small platform to do so, but it is a great place to start changing the way you and others view the world.
Countdown
If the marching band horns in the beginning of this song do not motivate you to dance around your dorm, I don’t know what will. With Beyoncé, you will always triumph.

About a third of ATRL are Britney stans, so they have obvious bias against Beyoncé. They're always trolling her and instigating the BeyHive.
And four of the mods are Britney stans, so they always let Bey trolling threads stay open for a few pages to get a good ki out of it.

There's not many popstars talked about on ATRL that can even come close to Beyonce's performing skills, so whenever there is room to find a fault, they seem to just grab it and put it in our faces. Which is unfortunate because its really aggravating when someone who's fave doesn't' even sing live is telling you that your fave not having a top 10 hit in a while means she is somehow inferior as an artist. But that's just all they can really say to us. We get the satisfaction of resting assured that our fave loves what she does and loves us and doesn't think we're stupid.

Basically, a mess.

"It was very surreal, a real honor that [Beyonce and Jay-Z] came to that show," co-lead vocalist/guitarist Daniel Rossen tells Fuse's Yasmine Richard. "We got to meet them afterward," drummer Chris Bear says. "They're very lovely, down-to-earth people. We're big fans of their music as well."
So much, in fact, that Bear reveals they use one of Bey's B'Day tracks to warm up their sound equipment. "Our sound guy, he plays 'Kitty Cat' just to test the system."

Grizzly Bear showing love. I love it when indie bands show appreciation for the Queen's work.
