I don't want a generic direction. I want her to move forward artistically always.
She doesn't need to be too generic to be successful.
And, please, fans are not the entire market. If she wants to keep selling albums/singles she has to find the right way to appeal to the general public. It's pop music.

I never liked the rock interludes during the Monster Ball outside of You and I to be honest, but she seems to love that Jesus person. I thought a big problem in Born This Way was the kind of schizophrenia in the album as far as sound went. It could have used a little more cohesion. And now people are throwing jazz and rock and dance at her, the next album will be a mess if she tries to please everyone.
Well, I'm not selfish, but I don't care too much about success tbh. As I previously said, I prefer that she fades away in terms of commercial success if that means giving us more albums like BTW or even better than BTW .
