Burgi being decent goes without saying. That said, incredibly strongly disagreed on Lorenza. I thought she was the best performance of the whole cast, and is in general a really capable actress. I look forward to seeing her in more horror projects

Sky Ferreira should stop acting now though. I'd put her only just above Ariana Grande for "worst performances of 2015"

Sarah and Juno are amazing in it, but otherwise the movie is absolute garbage. No claustrophobia, far too brightly lit, the new characters are bland, stupid, or obnoxious, and the ending is wretched. Plus, what it does to the two spoiled characters is utterly unforgivable.

It also retcons the REAL ending to 1 which was a masterpiece, so even worse.

The Green Inferno was absolutely horrible oh my god
I can't even fathom how all of Sky's parts, the Amy "sick" scene, Jonah's ridiculous screaming as he was being killed, the dream sequence, and various other scenes even made it into the film. What was even the point of that guy running into the propeller like an idiot? The acting all around was so...
Even the gore was done horribly
The only time I was truly disturbed was when the villagers were shoving that ****ing spear whatever up the girls' vaginas, but only because that's even painful to imagine
And last but not least, Justine was so unlikable omg, I couldn't help but be annoyed by her ridiculous/stupid backstory regarding the UN either

I'm just gonna watch Knock Knock anyway now in hopes that it blows me away and is 102919270271x better than the **** I just watched

AND PLEASE TELL ME THAT MELODRAMATIC MUSIC PLAYING DURING AMY'S SICK SCENE WAS MEANT TO BE IRONIC........ the scene alone was horrible and pointless, I hope he was aware of that and just taking the piss with that bg music

My opinion on the Goodnight Mommy hate / TGI praise after watching both films on my own

I don't get how some of you originally hated on Goodnight Mommy but praised TGI (in some cases) to the high heavens?
Yeah, GM was predictable but it was meant to be predictable in the sense that the twist wasn't meant to be a twist, so I don't get why y'all kept calling it that when it was evidently set up. The point of that was to show and slowly elaborate on the madness and loss of reality the boy and the mother attained when the other kid died. But this is off topic so I'll stop
TGI not only was predictable but lacked great actors, atmosphere, and consistent cinematography, which GM had.

And yes I am pressed because that movie did NOT deserve that hate when TGI was praised by the same people that hated on GM

I really like Goodnight Mommy and agree it got unfair hate. Your points about TGI are fair but a lot of that is simply because that's the kind of writer that Eli Roth is, aka it was done intentionally.

I fully expected that guy to run into the propeller, it reminded me of the first episode of LOST and could've been a homage even.

To be fair, I don't think I've ever truly liked an Eli Roth film except Knock Knock so far~ (I'm actually loving it)

I've never fully watched Lost so its my fault for missing that reference, but I did cackle at how nonchalant it was

Ew, Sinister 2 was a disaster. How disappointing. The mashed potatoes scene is so bad I hope it becomes iconic. Lol. Also the Milo kid was one of the worst child actors I've ever seen.
