I'll take the lack of response as your way of saying that you all concur.

Nearly sixty percent of corn grown in the United States is used for cattle production. That land is rarely crop-rotated, leading to soil erosion and infertility. So, yes, crop production in the United States (I am unable to speak on the subject elsewhere) has its own casualties, but the most avoidable of these are correlated with the meat industry.
Just like how Gaga's Twitter followers are related to a) the number of new Twitter users, and b) her current media presence.

So, fake or real, it doesn't matters.

Let's make this real, then.
After I became a vegetarian, I went off my acne medications (the only ones I take) because they were tested on animals.
I buy my shampoo, toothpaste, and other toiletries from a local health food store, paying three times the price for more humane products.
I am fortunate enough to live next to a chicken-keeper, so my eggs are free range.
The milk and cheese I eat are from my town dairy, family-owned for fifty years and driven by twenty dairy cows, none in crates, all BGH-free.
I do not eat honey, and I have a list of 100+ ingredients memorized that I cannot touch.
I do not wear suede, leather, fur, animal hides, and assorted plastics because of their production components.
I live in a meat-eating family.
I am very lucky to have access to these humane alternatives, and my lifestyle is not easily imitated.
Now sit.
EDIT: The Meat Dress, though certainly iconic, was a cheap and wasteful ploy. There's the Gaga connection.

That's great and all but why even eat animal related products if you're going to do everything else right? Cow milk is for baby cows to grow strong into adult cows, just like how human babies consume milk from their mother to be healthy children. I personally drink almond milk because it contains the same nutrients in cow milk + more so really, what's the point of draining the poor cow?
Either way, that's all besides that point. People have their opinions and the right to choose what they want to do. They don't need pompous hypocritical vegetarians and vegans telling them what to eat or what to wear. If you guys feel like you're doing something great, good for you. A Vegan lifestyle is not for everyone, god knows I've tried and failed.
The meat dress was a brilliant way to get her point across and she certainly pissed a lot of people off.

But will you be able to deal with the new prices of crops, vegetables and chemicals after you get rid of meat industry?
We omnivorous fur wearers are saving the world as much as you herbivores do.
Now, seriously, I'm personally against products from tortured animals, but I won't bother going against everyone related to it. I would just say "ewww" in the most serious case.

I'm still curious as to why Gaga was wearing a head microphone in that one leaked image of the FAME commercial.

No, sis, I get you. I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian pro tempore; I currently live away at college and do not have the facilities to cook for myself on a daily basis, so the dairy/egg situation is more of a personal compromise.
I do plan on going full vegan once I graduate, when I have full control over my diet.
I'm used to high vegetable prices, because the government here subsidizes feed crops and starches for production like corn and potatoes.
EDIT: SILICONE, SALINE, ARTPOP, INJECT ME

Y'all need to grow the **** up, let the bitch be whatever she wants to be, she's not your mommy, she's not your robot-pop star, she will do what she pleases for bad or for good, just sit and get ready to be served, wait for the music and her upcoming visuals projects and judge for yourself. Stop creating projections and ideas of how or who she has to be, she is her own being, we don't own her, she is there to entertain us and give us good music, that's it.
