The Best Songs from The King of Hip-Hop/Rap

The Warning

After a certain artist who used to be popular in the 90s tried to deny her fling with Em, the King of R&B put out this diss track to let his fans know the truth about the situation. While it doesn't include Em's best bars, there are still some moments of great wordplay (like the assonance in: "Yeah Dre sick track, perfect way to get back / Wanna hear something wick wack? / I got the same exact tat thats on Nicks back") and the fact that he includes some of the audio from her voicemails is too much

Some fans of Nick's ex-wife still try to make excuses, but anyone with a brain can see Em put her on blast; the fact that she never uttered his name again just proves he wasn't lying.

Sing For The Moment

SFTM contains many of the aspects of other Eminem songs; he starts it by discussing his life, then goes into discussing the downside of fame, a popular topic for the King of Soul. But where SFTM really excels is in the final verse, when the saxophone comes in and Em talks about the effect of his music on his fans: "
That's why we sing for these kids that don't have a thing / Except for a dream and a ****in' rap magazine / Who post pinup pictures on their walls all day long / Idolize they favorite rappers and know all they songs / Or for anyone who's ever been through **** in they lives/ 'Til they sit and they cry at night, wishing they die / 'Til they throw on a rap record, and they sit and they vibe / We're nothing to you, but we're the ****in' **** in their eyes." This is Em's most emotionally affecting verse, and propels the song into the top 3.

Stan

This haunting track is a highlight on Em's GRAMMY Award winning Marshall Mathers LP, one of the greatest rap albums of all time. The tragic tale of an obsessed fan resonates not only with other musicians, but with all the crazies on this site who take stanning way too far. And talk about impacT! This song not only features some of Em's best rapping, but created the word "stan" to mean a super fan. The word is used daily on ATRL as well as all over the world. Without this song, ATRL wouldn't exist tbh.
