As soon as the campers went after him, Roc realized he was caught. The campers lunged at him, and he ripped a knife out of his coat and STABBED delightfulpeeks, Sebas and Matty, giving them only minor injuries (In the arm, side and shoulder, respectively) before he RAN along the path that Gavin drove out of!
The campers continued to follow him, until they realized... He was too far ahead, and he was headed right towards the ruins of the bridge.
He was going to escape!
Roc continued to run, jumping onto a half-broken support beam from the bridge. He walked out towards it just as the campers reached the edge of the bridge, and he was just out of reach. Matty and Anna attempted to follow him out on the broken bridge, but decided it was too risky and went back to the others where the campers watched as Roc JUMPED from the edge of the beam to one of the torn bridge cables.
Hugging the cable, terrified, Roc shimmied across it and jumped across more broken pieces of the bridge until he reached the edge of the bridge that remained intact, and he ran away to safety on the mainland...
However, as he ran, he knocked over a small piece of debris that fell down and, essentially, became the straw that broke the camel's back and knocked down more larger debris which in turn tore the one intact support cable he used to shimmy across, and also caused the support beam he was on earlier to flip upwards and slam onto the island, missing Matty and Anna by inches.
This left everyone on the island for good, with no hope of getting across the broken bridge and too terrified to try and swim through the rapid water...
