I think the age should be like 20 or 19 just because of the cell phone and maturity levels that can offer a risk to other drivers....

I think the driving age is fine as it is in my state. You are not allowed to apply for your permit until age 16, and are not allowed to get your Junior's license until you are 17 and have passed the driving test. I just think that any age younger than that is ridiculous. The frontal lobe of your brain, which controls your judgement, is not fully developed until you are in your early 20s, which is why teenagers especially make poor judgments. It is also a fact that younger driver's have more frequent car accidents than older drivers (well not too old )

It should be higher in my opinion.... Teens are too young to be in control of a vehicle.... that could kill someone with one hit. Many deaths occur because of their irresponsibility.

The driving age for my state is justified too, being 16 to get a permit, wait for 6 months before getting license if you're under 18 and need supervision permission. The age is a perfect time for late high school as students want to show off their cars and most important yet being responsible and start growing up. They need transportation to get to work, they need to help pay for their gas and insurance so it would encourage them to work; ...better yet enjoying the activities you get easily with having a car.

The thing is though, more and more people around that age are starting to get jobs. Who wants to take the bus anymore? I do think 16 is the perfect age to get your permit, and 17 for a juniors.
