Imagine Dragons enters the Top 40 with their latest single "I Bet My Life". This is Imagine Dragons' 6th entry on the chart. Their first album gained them 2 top ten hits namely, On Top of The World and Radioactive.
Childish Gambino enters the chart with V.3005. This is Gambino's first entry on the chart.
Tinashe holds on at the top spot with '2 On'. This is her 5th non consecutive week on top. (Not too shabby for a debut single on the chart)
First new entry is by Azealia Banks with Chasing Time. This is Banks' second entry on the chart after Liquorice back in 2012 which peaked at #9.
Second new entry is by George Ezra with Budapest. This is Ezra's first entry in the chart.
Third new entry is by Maddie & Tae with Girl In A Country Song. Like Ezra, this is the duo's first entry in the chart.
The highest new entry is by Coldplay with Ink. This is their fifth entry on the chart with their new album. Magic peaked at #15, Midnight peaked at #8, A Sky Full of Stars peaked at #2 and True Love (horrible song, but at least I tried) peaked at #26. Ink is one of my fave songs on their new album behind Midnight. Another one is O. Hopefully this'll peak inside the Top 10 as well.
And FINALLY, Kendrick Lamar earns his second chart topper with 'i'. The first one being "Poetic Justice" which peaked at #11 on my Top 200 Songs of 2013.
Yes it's that time of year again. Although I'm not sure what will be the other countdowns I will be doing, I'm definitely counting down the 200 Songs that slayed my chart in 2014.
I will try to finish AT LEAST this Top 200 Countdown and maybe some album countdowns on the side. I'm going to keep this as simple as possible and I hope my internet connection will not be cruel to me. I also apologize for not updating and not commenting at your charts at times. I swear, my internet connection is the ****ing pits.
Another announcement is that I will be changing my Top 40 to a Top 50 to cater more songs on the side. This will start on the 21st of December (the official start of a new chart year).
I will try and put more effort on my chart with graphics if I could but I doubt it so don't expect much.
Also, my 12-week rule will be removed as now I will be catering to unlimited charting weeks for whatever the **** I want. I will also be removing songs freely now so expect more chart action next year. I will also re-add songs if I want to on my playlists. Old songs MAY chart as well if they gain enough airplay. Another rule will apply to new entries. Since my pointing system gets huge after the first two weeks, I would add additional points to debuting songs to give them a bit of boost to start. There will also be no two-week delay on debuts anymore like I did before so that they can have a boost, instead they'd debut after rendering a week of play counts.
Yeah, this doesn't really matter to you but I want to share how I do my chart.
Anyways, thanks guys and see you in the Best Of and the upcoming charts!

I MEAN THE ****ING SLAYAGE.
The Black Keys beat the 3 year old record of Coldplay's Charlie Brown as the longest number 1 in the history of my chart. The previous record was 7 weeks and it wasn't even consecutive. The Black Keys went #1 for 9 consecutive weeks.
The slayage is realT.
Here's the song:
Here's the chart for the week ending of February 15.

Chart highlights:
2 new entries - Ciara's I Bet, Ci's first entry since last year's Overdose and Benjamin Booker's Violent Shiver, his first song to debut in my chart.
Biggest Gainer - Logic's Under Pressure. With Buried Alive already inside the Top 20, Under Pressure is catching up moving up 17 huge places to the highest position of the bottom half of the chart.
Biggest Loser - Ariana Grande's Love Me Harder is the biggest loser of the week falling 10 spots from last week.
Rodney Cowell enjoys his first Top 10 song with Fever on the Bayou. FOTB is also the first all out country song to reach the Top 10 after 2013's Wagon Wheel sung by Darius Rucker which managed to reach #2 and chart at #5 in my Best of 2013.
Sia also enjoys her first top 10 hit as a lead artist with Elastic Heart. She previously was inside the Top 10 with Titanium back in 2011.
Also enjoying his first Top 10 hit is Nick Jonas moving up 8 spots to earn the #6 position.
FKA Twigs earns first Top 5 and Top 10 hit with Pendulum and making Pendulum one of the slowest move to the top 10.
Rihanna earns the #1 spot along with Paul McCartney and Kanye West. This is Rihanna's first chart topper since 2011's We Found Love.
I love your list. You have so many great and underappreciated artists. Bleachers, Big K.R.I.T., Run The Jewels, Coldplay
And pretty much all your songs are great too. That number 1
But also, Only One, i, Cadillactica, Gotta Get Away, Ink, All Hands On Deck, I Bet, I'll have to listen to the songs I don't know because pretty much everything is
Glad to see you updating that I'm able to noticed and get to comment on this. Feels so long since I commented on this chart.
Gotta Get Away is really good. It's deserved to break the record for longest #1 in the history of your chart. No shame that FourFiveSeconds is the new #1. I love it esp. since this type of song is having success so far. Rih and her power indeed. It's funny that half of Navy don't like this and prefer her upbeat songs. Now, some are latched into it for the sake of Rih and her success. I hear she has another new song out. Must check it out.
Run the Jewels are good. Need to listen to their music more often. I heard of PVRIS back in Red's Best of-that he didn't finished once again. They have a good sound. Love that Jessie Ware is on here esp. the masterpiece known as Say You Love Me. More The Black Keys. I forgot all about I Bet. I need to check it out. Figure it out blew me away. Such an intense song to feel. Other highlights include I Bet My Life, Shut Up and Dance, i, Only One, and Elastic Heart. Did you hear The Blacker The Berry yet? I really like it. And Kanye dropped a new song today right? I need to hear it as well.
Good chart, jomarr! Too bad my countdown is on hiatus for now. This is the only way to talk music.
