Even if it gets sent to Pop the song will struggle for a few weeks just like Home and Gone3x did when they were sent to that format. HAC crossovers tend to linger in the top 30-50 for many weeks, then if sales are good then it may move up

In what way exactly because Phillip is just there to present. Even when they introduce Phillip I doubt they will mention he has an album out, they will likely use "The American Idol winner blah blah blah"
Edit: Now that I think about it. During the red carpet, he can do interviews and I bet he will mention he has an album out.

He will performing Raging Fire on GMA and Live with Kelly and Michael, so perhaps he should do a new song on Idol. A song that can sell the album.
