Her actions are ultimately going to destroy the group or at least get her kicked out, and rightly so. This is such a vital time in their careers, as they're just starting to gain international recognition. Yet she's here ruining everything by trying to get her name out there as a solo artist this early in the game.
And then people wonder why the other girls always throw shade at her. She's creating obvious animosity in the group and she couldn't give two hoots. So selfish.
This is getting ridiculous, if she wants to do her own thing she should leave the group already, there's no problem in her wanting to release solo songs and **** like that but not when her current group is promoting and campaning their new record... The group is a mess? For sure it is they are all shady but as I see Camila asks for it.
She released a solo song before. The group's success wasn't destroyed. And that song required her to be far more involved than I think a Diplo song would. It's not like her and Diplo are gonna go on Good Morning America together. So whatever.
Also even the definition of what loyalty to a group is varies. I don't judge 5H any different than any other band or group who have singers release music outside of them. I get a lot of people DO because they don't think 5H is big enough yet but to me their music can and has been getting huge without the general public knowing most of their names or how much they hang out or make other music.
Someone from a group doing a song/duet/feature with someone else is a big shrug to me. "Oh they did that? Cool." There's no giant wall formed for me when this happens.

I know I said I'd stay out of this, but please, at the very least, don't act like people are irrational for wanting to see loyalty in a music group whose entire platform revolves around female empowerment/togetherness and whose success and image directly affects the lives of its five members.
The fact that you seem to be suggesting that people should expect MORE loyalty from a high school assignment than from a life-changing music group is what's laughable here.
I feel like it's very disrespectful of her releasing music as a solo artist when she is still part of a group. If she wishes to do songs with other people then she should* just quit 5H. It's basically conflict of interest.

What if all 5 girls started working on and releasing solo songs on the side? You don't think that would look messy and cause tension in the group, especially if some do better than the others? It would look like none of them want to be in the group and they all can't wait to get out.
Camila releasing side Pop songs is promoting herself as a solo artist to the same audience that the group is trying to cater to. She's getting more attention on her and that can cause imbalance.
