The lead single from Michelle Williams first stab at secular music wasn't a hit on the charts or with y'all seeing as you Porkchop-ed it out of this rate. It is a fairly standard late 2000s stab at Pop/R&B. I personally enjoy it, but I can see why people don't like it. Petal's simply says "I love Michelle but that song gurl...."
In the context of the show, the song was the second ever Lip Sync For Your Life and featured Akashia versus Tammie Brown. It was the first song by a guest judge and the first song by a woman used for a LSFYL. Ironically though, Michelle still didn't get to go solo without enduring some Destiny's Child first. And seeing as Say My Name was the first song actually lip synced this episode she can't even claim she was on the first non-RuPaul song lip synced to overall. #PoorMichelle.
After nearly getting into a fight with Akashia, she was shaded again by Tammie Brown who deemed the song crap and refused to perform. Akashia blew the roof off the place anyways so it was probably for the best. In a recent Yahoo interview, RuPaul actually shaded this song saying of Akashia's performance that sometimes a drag queen can turn a "meh" song and make it something amazing.
