Can't REALLY agree with that, as it's probably one of the catchiest songs on the album, but I see your point. It's a pretty radical departure from most of her other songs.

"Thank God For Girls" and "Honey, I'm Good.", though...thank god those songs exist, because they give me such easy targets to hate on.

Better Love is by far the best Foxes song out of the 3 I heard this year.

I can see why HIG is so hated but I think it's great and catchy with well intentioned lyrics. Plus I've been rooting for Andy a while now. Alessia made it to the top 20 artists

Yeah Cecilia would have been higher if I had given it a chance earlier, it's pretty good, same case for Better Love but I'm considering taking it to 2016.

"Listen to the Man"

As much as I enjoy George's signature vocal delivery I have to say this song doesn't quite do it justice. On top of that the video is quite dull when it was supposed to be funny. I think they should have re-released Cassy-O WW while the hype was still there. Anyway, I'll just wait for his next album.

Bleachers
"Rollercoaster"

Both Jack and Nate are musical prodigies, that's literally the reason why fun.'s music used to sound so fresh and different Now that they're sepparated it's like something's off. Bleachers has amazing production but flawed vocals and lyrics whereas Nate lacks direction. As for this song I think it was definitely a great single choice, it always cheers me up.

Fall Out Boy
"Irresistible"

This song was originally meant to be part of my top 100 but it has really fallen from grace in the last few months. Despite being one of the highlights of the album it really should've stayed as an album track, it burns off extremely fast when you play it continuously. And let me not get started on that embarrassing try-hard mess of a remix they tried to come up with.

Mr. Probz
"Waves"

Probably the only song people will ever remember Mr. Probz by. Personally I prefer the original slow-paced version, everytime I listen to it it's like taking a deep breath. I'll still be checking for his next album but I honestly doubt he'll beat this one.

Kelly Clarkson
"Piece by Piece"

I honestly feel like Kelly Clarkson has lost her touch. She's never been known for her artistic input since she doesn't precisely stand out as a song-writer but let's be real her last album is an uninspired mess. PbP was a decent single choice considering the options but it's among her worst singles to date and that video is, as usual, so disappointing.

Drake
"Hotline Bling"

I managed to sneak this in at the last minute. I'm not the biggest fan of Drake's music, most of his songs sound the same to me, but sometimes he manages to surprise me like he did 2 years ago with HOWAGH. Recently this song started growing on me so I decided to include it as a guilty pleasure but it's mostly just a fluke.

Muse
"Mercy"

I've been casual listening to Muse for quite some time now. This year I managed to listen to their whole discography and I've found out they're always evolving and pushing the edge with each album. Mercy sounds more like a throwback compared to their previous records and while it's not one of their best singles it's still pretty good.

Last Dinosaurs
"Apollo"

After being referred to this song so many times in a row I finally decided to give it a chance. It's really nothing worth writing home about but it has its charms. For one I love this weird MGMT-esque mixture of electronic and indie sounds it's made of which is enough to make it interesting. The video is trash though.

The Script
"No Good In Goodbye"

It's always the same story with every The Script single I run into. I love them for a couple of weeks and then I get annoyed by them to the point of not listening to them ever again. Last year this streak was finally broken when Superheroes found itself placed within my yearend top 25 but then this forgettable song came... and well, the rest is history.

Louane
"Je Vole"

One of my favorite discoveries of the year. Louane might not be the best vocalist or the most talented song writer out there but she's very charismatic which blends quite well with her simplistic repertory. This song is a cover she recorded for La Famille Bélier, a film on which she stars and which I highly recommend.

Coleman Hell
"2 Heads"

This is what happens when incorporate a banjo into an alternative-rock track. The result is not only surprisingly catchy but also quite original. I've been giving it increasing rotation in the last few months and I expect to see it charting next year too. I think it has a chance to go mainstream given the canadian wave that's invading the charts lately.

The Vaccines
"Minimal Affection"

The Vaccines is one of the indie bands I started getting into during the first few months of the year. I really can't say much about them because I'm not familiar with their previous work but I really enjoyed their latest album. Minimal Affection is pretty much described by its title since it's quite deep but it has this ominous beat that makes it sound so simple.

James Bay
"Let It Go"

This is one of those weird cases in which you get tired of a song so quickly you almost forget about it and after a few months it comes back to bite you. I still think this song was a disappointing and rather weak follow-up to HBTR but it's honestly not that bad. I hope it does well so that he can release his actual best songs.

Nate Ruess
"Great Big Storm"

Most of Nate's solo songs have all the quirky elements that made fun. great, and of course his signature anthemic vocals are still there. However, I feel like something's missing. The album as a whole lacks concept and the production is all over the place for the most part. GBS didn't really deserve to be a single but the video is not so bad.

Carrie Underwood
"Smoke Break"

It's pretty clear Carrie Underwood has peaked. Despite being a decent effort this song feels like a Blown Away reject, it lacks replay value and doesn't quite go anywhere. I applaud her for her quick career recovery after her pregnancy but I think she should've waited a little longer, her album sounds rushed and plain.
