There's actually been 7 happenings of ISIS recruiting attempts in my town since last year (I live in Finland in a city that has a population of 100k). Scary stuff.

I just don't think ISIS recruiters are gonna rock up to a random person's Twitter and start trying to radicalise them. Surely they would get a better hit ratio by targeting those who already support the cause - maybe by having the Islamic State flag on their profile or something like that? There was a documentary on this week where a niqab-wearing muslim girl went undercover for a year to expose how ISIS recruit from the UK. Despite posting extreme tweets/following extreme accounts, she had to make an effort to get to the level of being trafficked to Syria.

We have thousands of British citizens fighting in Syria, whole families leaving, too.

Probably. I think now people know to be more cautious due to how widely known ISIS has become.

I read last week that they're trying to recruit people through video games like GTA V, by telling them that if shooting guns interests them, they should join because that's what they do irl. Where can I watch that documentary? Am intrigued.

I had a look on YouTube and it's not there it was broadcast by Channel 4 just this week, think it was called Britain's Secret ISIS Supporters or smth like, sorry I can't be more help. I'm reading this thread and I'm like When I was sixteen I knew that murdering and torturing people is bad and no one could brainwash me into thinking otherwise. I knew that terrorist organizations were bad. People who say that they were brainwashed to join a terrorist organization that kill people by promises of wealth and power actually make them look even worse.

I feel sorry for them, despite the fact that they were ready to kill and torture innocent people and only saw a light when the reality turned out to be the opposite of promises given to them.
