Periods aren't "nasty, disgusting, smelly or vile", they are natural and we don't want to have them anymore than you do but we do and shaming us for having them or making us pay ridiculous amounts and taxing the **** out of them isn't going to stop this natural bodily function or help anyone but the government.
Half of these women or maybe even all of them more than likely used fake blood, its really coincidental that all of their periods synced up and happened to be on the same day that they wanted to do this protest. They must have phoned mother nature and told her they were ready for their monthly cycle, seeing the ignorance y'all spew about women's bodies y'all probably think thats the way periods actually work. Even if one of these women was on her monthly during this imagine how absolutely uncomfortable that would feel for her walking around all day.
It's not in good taste but it was for a good cause and before today how many people were talking about this issue, one which some people didn't even know was an issue.

It's equivalent enough because y'all's argument is that tampons are not 'non-essential, luxury' items, which applies to toilet paper/baby wipes and some other hygienic items.
The thing is we ALL use toilet paper or baby wipes.If you don't want to use toilet paper get a bidet or wash ur bum in a river.
But why being born a female should mean that every month you must spend a certain amount of money for 30+ years?

OMG, you people are taking it the wrong way. Like, it was a bad example, but y'all get what I mean I know there is way more too it and that tampons are a necessity. I have no issue at all with that. It shouldn't even be something people have to fight for. However, I find the way in which they're going about it to be a bit inappropriate.
