To be fair, I don't think Katy came out any worse in the end. Taylor's attempt at vilifying Katy pretty much fell completely flat. No one really cared about the dancers or the supposed backhanded jabs Katy made or whatever else Taylor was going on about.

I mean it generated a few low-profile blog posts but the accusations were entirely too weak and lacking in foundation to gain any real traction.

What a saint. So instead of just saying that it was NOT about an ex and simply stopping there, she decides to be even more of a saint and gives some very (not brief) details about who the song really was about in a promo interview. Wow. Such an angel.

Yeah. Nobody really cares about any of this. The coverage and interest weren't ubiquitous enough to generate any prolific controversy.

Maybe so. Yeah, it wasn't that big of a deal bc it was a ridiculous "beef" from the start but she has a HUGE following so for the most part, people thought/knew it was about Katy [it was brought up in several interviews to the point where even Taylor herself got annoyed and didn't want to talk about it anymore] and she allowed that to go on for a year + fueled the Katy vs. Taylor nonsense. Come on, now...

Of course Katy came out looking worse. She has been revealed as a false friend and backstabber.

Kats have been fuming about this for an entire year now. Their fave has been exposed. That is why they constantly keep starting threads dragging Taylor and getting banned for their remarks. Kats on this site certainly cared enough to pick up WPs like they are going out of fashion.

Even this thread. No mention of Katy at all in the interview and yet Kats are fuming. They were fuming when she was exposed and they remain fuming when Taylor tries to avoid talking further about Katy's backstabbing. But yeah, go on and pretend Kats are not bothered! LMAO
