-To each it's own. This wasn't always the thing. It was actually viewed attractive to be super skinny. I still find certain groups making deplorable comments about women that can't fit into certain jeans because of their rump or being disgusted by that stuff. The reason why it appear as though black people start a trend and then white people "act like" they created the trend is because it seems as though they won't invest in it unless it can make money or impact.

I feel as though they wait until it is not only cool but something that is worth something.
People weren't saying bling bling when rappers said it but it was trademarked and became a thing...then all of the sudden everyone started using it.

-I don't see that many white people having a problem with women wearing natural hair. If anything, I've witnessed many Black people tearing black women down for natural hair. Gabby douglas teas.
I think when it's more afro centric many are intrigued and mesmerized because they are used to seeing black women wear fake hair to appear as if they have straight long hair when many don't.

Why is a white crime seen as a little incident, but a black crime reflects an entire community?
-This is a good question but it's obviously an agenda to cover up situations where white people commit certain crimes and it's either marginalized or covered up but when black people do it...its a thing.
Not always...in my opinion they put out enough situations where white people are committing heinous crimes. Jared from subway/Duggars so that it isn't obvious all the other stuff that is covered up and when black people do it they post it out for everyone to see because black people are held to a different standard and are expected to be careful of their actions because of the system in place so when they don't...they are pretty much given people a reason to validate the stereotypes.

Why does it make white people uncomfortable when talking about race?
Because it's a sensitive subject for which many black people have carried the anger of their descendants as if they were actual slaves and experienced the atrocities that happened in the past. I don't think they want to be blamed for what they didn't do in the past and because many black people carry the anger and emotions of their descendants forward they know this is something they'd have to deal with in a conversation/debate/argument.

Why do you notice when there's no black people, but don't notice when there's no white people in a room?
-The same way black people don't throw a parade for being in a room with all black people.
If I take my dog to a dog park and see a bunch of dog with its owners I don't see an issue.
If i take my dog to a dog park and see 99% dogs and dog owners and a pack of flamingos then i'm going to notice a difference.
It's not that deep.

Why do you wanna say the N word so badly?
-sometimes I think that it's used in closed doors but for those that don't use it I think it's perplexing that so much music/movies entertainment has people using the N word as a term of endearment or in a hurtful way but not racists moreso offensive just because they remove the R from the word.
And many wonder why it's ok for black people to use the N word minus the R but they can't use the N word minus the are if the context is a term of endearment.
I'm not sure they want to use it so badly as I believe if they want to then they do just in the right setting for them but I do think they see the contradictions in its overuse in the black community.

I honestly think they think it's a nice gesture. I think they can be mesmerized by a black women being "brave, courageous and strong" enough to not convert to the european standard of beauty and go au natural and it surprises them and so they higher the pitch in their voice like when dealing with children and I honestly think that by posing the question to "touch it" makes them feel as though a black person won't believe they are scared of them or scared to touch it (in an offensive way).
I typically think the gesture has good intent behind it but is still kind of...strange.

-Hmm...I feel as though black people do this to the asian/latino and white culture as well. I think they take what they see in culture, wait for an actual person they know to share the same sentiment and then use it as an example. not that I agree with that but I feel that's what happens. So if Kanye west and Drake were to make a statement on an issue and then one of their friends does it they will use it as an example because they feel the generalization is ok...which isn't really ok but it's a small fry in the grand scheme of things

-I really don't know what to say as a pet owner that values my pet more than many (some black people included) that waste their lives. Their is a history with animals and ones that are pets there is an emotional connection and easier sense of control but also affection and love there...I don't know..

There was actually a social experiment set up by a group of Black natural hair vloggers a couple of years back where they had groups of Black girls stand in central park with signs saying it was OK to touch their hair. Whew it caused a bit of mess online, but the video was interesting:




Yeah, but I've been on the receiving end of people randomly touching my hair (usually asking AS they're touching ) -- it usually only happens when it's in its natural curly state and big and I get that it's different from what someone might be used to but, it's really invasive.

It's offensive because a real privileged person is some that doesn't have to work hard and can do as they please and not face consequences.
Yes, black people are held to an unfair standard but that does not take away from the fact that white people have to be careful of the decisions they make as well, they have to work hard or at least put forth effort because wealthy people might have things handed to them more but many people in the world are not wealthy or privileged in that sense.
So I think because privilege has been used in such an extreme manner because it's masked in emotion/pain/frustration that there are white people that believe that to call them privileged or whatever is to say that they don't have to work hard, they have everything handed to them, they don't have to think wisely about decisions because there are no consequences so on and so forth...so I think it triggers annoyance for some tbh.

When you make a statement like this...it is absurd and can be easily viewed to suggest that Vick should have leniency for doing something that is a criminal act. This is also why the majority sometimes want to dismiss certain claims...there is no reason to use dog fighting as a means to say it's unfair how some white individuals get away with murder. Black individuals have gotten away with murder too...whether in the streets or known.

I can't speak for the next person's experience, but it's happened a lot since I was a child and usually semi-casual and comfortable environments. Most often I've experienced it with school mates and co-workers that just assumed I would be cool with it because we talked casually in passing; not with random strangers.
