My fault, I was mistaken. Sorry. But I'm sure if Ciara garnered a #1 from a featuring credit that you guys would also be grateful and happy for another #1 hit.

So selling 1 million copies isn't a sales accomplishment for a single that never touched the Billboard top ten?

Technically it's 500,000 for each of the girls. So no, it's not really that impressive.

And who cares about "3" anymore? That was hot for a second, "Telephone" has been on fire since TFM was released and it's only gonna get bigger.
Nice try though!

Duh they aren't doing anything right now. But, they are still relevant artists therefore will most likely get more #1 radio singles. And that's fine if you want to show off how mad you are I got you 80% of your warning points.

You're right, it isn't impressive at all. And actually technically, better to weight it according to how long each girl has been in the music industry! Let's see - that's ten years for Beyoncé and a little under two for GaGa. So it turns out to be 830,000 for Beyoncé, and just 170,000 for GaGa. How unimpressive and lacklustre!

Britney's latest release got to #2, and normally past 1 or 2 singles her albums don't spawn many hits which could help her with this record.
Justin hasn't released in forever and hasn't got any plans to.
Meanwhile, GaGa has gone #1 with every single she's released.
Looking at the facts, it really isn't likely either will overtake GaGa

You know Beyonce has been here for 12 years right? How dare you try and twist the facts make GaGa look like more of a success than she really is. In reality not even 150,000 of those sales are hers.
What are you trying to pull?

@ you trying to dispel the obvious. "Womanizer" & "Circus" both went #1, "3" literally almost went #1 until it suddenly died. No, Justin hasn't released in a while but when does he will be eligible. Avril has a new album coming as well. P!nk's on fire lately, so whenever she has a new album she has a chance.
Basically, GaGa & Mariah are only one #1 away from many runner up relative artists who CAN get to #1. GaGa won't continue having #1s, especially with "Alejandro".

Oh gosh I'm so sorry
Beyoncé actually sold 857,000 of the Telephone sales!
GaGa sold a mere 143,000 copies. And this is coming from the "it" girl of 2009 with those huge number one singles Just Dance and Poker Face. Looks like she already had her fifteen minutes of fame, struggling to even sell 150k on her latest single

Which is 2 #1s for an album, like I said.
I just don't think you're getting it. GaGa has got the same amount of #1s these others have in a MUCH quicker time, I'm not saying they'll continue, no-one can know that, but if you drew a graph with #1s/years taken do you not see that GaGa's gradient would be much steeper and it would now go away from the others, not stay with them?

I just think people need to remember that this is a duet. Double the sales, double the views on YouTube, double the radio plays, etc etc.
