Was just about to post that. Attitudes like that are exactly why I've gravitated away from this BLM movement, and most of the SJW stuff I see everyday on tumblr re: race, gender (feminism AND trans-issues), orientation, etc, when I was firmly in that corner 2/3 years ago.
And that's exactly why the gay rights movement has come so much farther than black issues post-civil rights era, in such a short time. I mean, from 2004 when Obama took the popular stance on gay marriage ("I believe marriage is between a man & a woman") to when he was desperate during the 2012 election (only 8 years) and again took the popular stance, this time being pro-gay marriage, that's a huge turn around. Because at the end of the day, your objective isn't all that matters, the way that the message is delivered does too. Even people on the far right like Bill O'Reilly agree, regardless of what you feel about the gay rights issue as a whole, gay rights proponents did an immaculate job at making their case to everyone. Pointing out how opposing them was discrimination and oppression, and pointing out the injustices done to them all over the world, and then asking for help, and welcoming those willing to help us as allies. A huge chunk of this recent BLM movement, certain trans or feminist movements, etc, adopt such an antagonizing tone, and spread their message throwing around obscure terms like "white feminism" and such, that it's hard to imagine a huge amount of people being convinved to support their cause. Movements like this are meant to reach people who otherwise wouldn't be exposed to your message and sway them to consider your world view, not make them feel like a horrible person who ONLY contributes to your oppression and can never understand what it's like to be black/gay/trans/female/etc, so shouldn't even bother. A lot of it just feels like venting frustrations, rather than a concentrated political effort to achieve social (and in the case of women, and indeed blacks) economic/socioeconomic change.
Additionally, there's a non-negligible portion of this online BLM trend that seem more like they just want to start a separatist movement, nothing a non-black person says or does can satisfy them. I mean, Bernie literally said she can speak during his rally, and that still wasn't enough. Supporting them and being white also apparently isn't enough, as you're a filthy "white liberal" or "white feminist", etc. With their attitudes, it seems like only solution is presenting a candidate themselves to run for office, or separating and starting their own thing. And that's not coming from a "go back to africa!!1" place, it's coming from a "if having a (centrist who panders to the right wing) black president didn't satisfy you, and having a candidate who has openly supported your cause even before pressured to/(insert ancient civil rights march pic)/(insert jesse jackson support)/fights for the lower class which blacks disproportionately fall into/etc, maybe it's time to figure something else out". Something more productive.

This is disappointing really,
Bernie Sanders always supported the Black Community since the Segregation era plus he has the highest voting record for the black community than Clinton and others and they´re telling us that he is lowkey racist because he haven´t expanded his platform to the black community yet and LIBERALS I mean the only people who literally cares for them are being blasted as "racist progressives" just because they were boo´ed infront of 15k crowd.
They are a joke of the USA and that´s why the Black Community can´t have nice things because the poster girls are the #blacklivesmatter extremists to the community and they delusional enough to think there closest ally, Bernie Sanders, a racist Jewish old man.

Very well written, you hit the nail on the head. Why attack people who are trying to help you? This movement will not get anywhere if they don't clean up their act.

*sigh* truly tragic. This movement needs leaders, ones that are actually helpful. As a movement the BLM movement will run out of fuel if doesn't become more organized I don't want this to deflate the way the Occupy Wall Street movement did.

He himself didn't say something like, " All African-American acts like this!!!111!" He stated that incidents like this are the reason why others stereotype African-Americans. Do you think he lied?
