RTD fan here, pretty much started losing interest in the show since Moffat took over and wasn't even gonna watch this series, only got around to it caus my friends are still fans and wanted to talk about it and....
OMG! Best episode since Moffat took over! The action was amazing, the plot was interesting, the writing was the right about of comedy and Sirius stuff (Moffat usually overdoes the silliness and childishness as "comedy") the twists were suprising and the magnitude and excitement that I thought was lost came back! If the quality stays this high throughout the series it will be a new peak in the show for me!
Unfortunatly the trailer for the next episode seems to be another basic Moffat ep, but hopefully I'll be suprised again
What I really enjoyed this episode though was Missy. I liked her plan and Clara and her working together. I still cannot see her as the Master though. However this has made me want to have a female Doctor.
Another good episode and I like the concept of the next episode, how it doesn't seem like a conventional two parter. So far Season 9 is ******** all over Season 8
Wow. That episode was absolutely amazing. The second best of the Moffat era behind Vincent And The Doctor. It truly had the entire package: Great writing, great three-dimensional characters, great story and really scary monsters.
This one should have been a 1 part episode. The story was overly complicated and you had to make leaps and bounds to get to the next revelation. Really not enjoying this series so far. Moffat wants it to be Sherlock 2.0 but its not and shouldn't be.

In what way? I did not see this at all. I thought it was pretty straightforward for the most part.
I personally loved the slower pace in this episode. While I did think The Magician's Apprentice kinda dragged on, in this one I thought there was more room for important characterization and dialogue, unlike in season 8 where everything happened so fast.
