Probably, because it's not in the actual Hall of Fame. It wasn't chosen for anything, it was donated to the library. You can also find Nelly's influential 2008 album Brass Knuckles (?), photographs of Mandy Moore, and unauthorized biographies of Katy Perry in that archive.

Did you miss the original question behind the thread? Is Blackout overrated because of a Britney stan on the Rolling Stone payroll? The answer was given, affirmatively, and sourced by you.

Actually it does matter, irregardless of the topic of this thread that should be closed, because I was responding in regards to YOUR wrong comment NOT the thread topic.

The fact is that Blackout was CHOSEN by the director of the library to be added to the library's collection as part of a special project by the library and it was NOT, in fact, DONATED, but PURCHASED by the library. The only thing correct in your post is that it is in the same location as the other albums in the library, but it was not OBTAINED for the same reasons and by the same means as other albums.

Why do people care so much that it's overrated within a fan base and a music forum? Talk about pressed

Rest in piss.

So basically, my only misstep was having no knowledge of an obscure MTV News article where the library director confirmed that Blackout wouldn't even be included alongside such prolific works from the likes of Jessica Simpson and Debbie Gibson had it not been for that one lucky Britney stan who managed to earn a paycheck. You acknowledge that it sits aside other throwaway nonsense, but cling to the idea that it was obtained because of some imagined influence, and have yet to tell me why the OP (messy as she is) was wrong.

Pressed much? Just be happy for Britney and accept the fact that the album has shown some critical longevity following its initial reaction.
She first introduced dubstep on the album track Freakshow, then brought it to #1 with Hold It Against Me. She's always ahead of the curve! Blackout remains one of the most influential pop albums in recent memory.

Let him be.
He can type away and ridicule us and Brit all he wants, but it will never ever change the fact that Blackout is perched in the R&RHoF and named the most influential pop album by Rolling Stones themselves. Dont even get me started how every pop main bought the album and implemented its elements into their future works.

You don't even know the difference between the Rolling Stones and Rolling Stone the magazine.
It's perched in the R&RHoF library alongside a pic of Willa Ford. http://catalog.rockhall.com/catalog/RG-0008/ref483

Girl, it has nothing to do with disliking an album.

Ugh, why are you guys still fixated on this? Britney herself doesn't care about this shizz...she's said countless times since day one that she does all of this for enjoyment and nothing more.
