NOW: #10 - #06
 | 10. Fantasy Ride
by Ciara
This is Ciara's third, best and most versaible album. She shines on the dance tracks: "High Price", "Turntables" and "Echo", and on the slower stuff like "Keep Dancin' On Me", "Like a Surgeon" and "Never Ever". "Tell Me What Your Name Is" and "Pucker Up" are something new for her, that fits her perfectly. The worst songs here are for me "Love Sex Magic", recycled from Justin's every song and "Work", a loud wanna-be dance smash on which Ciara and Missy don't fit eachother.
MY FAVORITE TRACKS:
Turntables, Like a Surgeon, Echo |
 | 09. Brand New Eyes
by Paramore
After they had their breakout with their amazing second album, Paramore grow artistically even more on their third album. The album opens with probably their best and most agressive song so far "Careful", on which Hayley sound better than ever before. "Brick By Boring Brick" is also one of their best song, which is a perfect mixture of pop and rock. My personal favorites are "Playing God", "The Only Exception" and "Where the Lines Overlap". Amazing album.
MY FAVORITE TRACKS:
Careful, Brick By Boring Brick, All I Wanted |
 | 08. She Wolf
by Shakira
This is Shakira's best album since "Donde Estan los Ladrones?" to me. She went electro like basically everyone else, but she kept her original style and tracks like "Good Stuff", "Gypsy" and "Mon Amour" are pure Shakira. "Long Time" is the best dance track on the album for me, while "Why Wait" is close 2nd. "Did It Again" is a mixture of Shakira's old and new style, a track on which she shines, and so is "She Wolf". A great and weird album with sick beats. Fantastic.
MY FAVORITE TRACKS:
Did It Again, Gypsy, Mon Amour |
 | 07. Overcome
by Alexandra Burke
From the catchy opening track and first single "Bad Boys", you know who she is. A heiress to Leona Lewis, but she's even better. She can sing on the heartbreaking ballads ("The Silence", which is one of the best ballads I've heard since Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful"), but she also has what stiffy Leona needed in singing, charm. She shines on "Dumb", a electro-pop masterpiece and on the RedOne tracks "All Night Long" and "Broken Heels". Best X-Factor debut by far.
MY FAVORITE TRACKS:
Bad Boys, Broken Heels, Dumb |
 | 06. In A Perfect World...
by Keri Hilson
This is for me the best debut album and one of the best R&B albums of the year. It might have took a while to release it for Keri, but the waiting was worth it. Keri shines on the clubish tracks "Turnin Me On" and "Get Your Money Up", and on the R&B smash "Knock You Down". She once again teams up with Timbaland on the album's best tracks, "Return The Favor" and especially "How Does It Feel". The album's best slower song, "Energy" perfectly fits this extraordinary album.
MY FAVORITE TRACKS:
Return The Favor, Knock You Down, How Does It Feel |
