Taylor's more consistent with her lyrics. Not to mention Taylor is known for writing songs 100% herself and does not enlist many, if any at all, cowriters. 1989 is full of co-writers that are just producers getting their credit.

If you're going to pull all those out of your head then Katy has done trap, hip-hop, dance, disco, etc.

In reality, the first half of PRISM alone is sonically more diverse than the whole of 1989.

very true. taylor's 1989 singles are incomparable with katy's, but taylor's 1989 sales blow prism's out of the water. still, taylor's had two immensely successful #1s and crazy album sales. 1989 vs Prism? 1989 is obvs more successful. 1989 vs TD? hard to determine. TD had good (not amazing) sales with singles sales and successful taylor hasn't come close to achieving.

1989 has had 1 regular release and 3 singles.
