Hypothetically speaking, if "Infinity" does go #1 all the songs on the album or at least the original versions of them would have been a #1 hit. The album wouldn't contain her #1's AND one additional bonus track, no, there would just be ALL of her 19 #1's even including her latest one, "Infinity", then.

At this point we haven't even heard the song. So this thought is nothing but a phantasm right now, plus chances aren't very high that the song – any of her songs – could really go #1 no matter how good it is. But the fact they might actually try for once would make me happy for her. If she, her team and her label believe in the song and release and push it the way a Mariah Carey single is worthy of and she FINALLY receives the care and priority she deserves, then that would just be too great to witness.

If it's legit they cut Someday, I Don't Wanna Cry, and Thank God I Found You in favor of Without You, Endless Love, and Against All Odds. I guess it would make sense but I am not here for the horrendous Westlife version. If she replaces the Fantasy original with the remix can't she replace the Westlife collab with the solo version then?

Where is "Can't Let Go" and "Make It Happen"?
Weren't these #1 hits, too? I suppose not. They were not on the 1998 "#1s" album either.
I looked it up on wikipedia for further reading, but yeah.. i guess I answered my self!

This time around she includes the "Unplugged" version of it for the "new" greatest hits here...

I guess they are really emphasizing the songs that were actually were #1s on the charts rather than "just hits" overall.
That's what the 2001, 2012 compilations were for, I suppose.

Also. 15 of the tracks are #1s during the Columbia era (from 1990-2000)
Meanwhile, only 3 #1 hits while at Island/DJ (2002-2013) .... what happened?!

Might as well stick with "Greatest Hits" from 2001 or "The Essential" from 2012

"Someday" was one of the songs on Mariah's notorious demo tape. Supposedly her original version was rougher, funkier, more intense. Sony, or rahter Tony Mottola, however, made alterations. Mariah did not like the final version but was forced the accept them. So she probably has negative feelings towards the song. I wouldn't be surprised if she only uses it as an interlude in her Vegas show.

It was released via Press Release to European/Intl markets. It's also on Mariah Connection.

I dont know why they chose the Westlife version either. Is it the more popular one in Europe?

haha, me too. I don't remember what version of "Fantasy" they played on the radio... I was still pretty young at the time. regardless, I think the remix with ODB is my favorite.

Summery midtempo/uptempo classic. Song with that strong "Vegas" feel/punch to it. Its Like That on steroids.
