Idk he seems kind of over it tbh. I mean he left in the middle of the tour because he got caught cheating by the media. I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to take a huge break from the spotlight.
To be honest though, the band lasted a LOT longer than most people expected. Back in 2011 people were saying they'd be gone in 6 months after What Makes You Beautiful but instead they blew up in the US and worldwide and in 2015 they're still in the charts.
I think One Direction could last a bit longer tbh, but without Zayn (or any of them really) they might struggle imo. I wonder if Zayn will do a solo career.
