Why do people say FFS is a folk song? Just because it has a guitar and minimalistic production? It's a pop song. Are people even listening to the lyrics? It's about going crazy and getting drunk. It's not some indie folk song with deep and meaningful lyrics.

FourFiveSeconds has had a shockingly similar chart trajectory to Applause, too; including a #4 peak. The only thing is Rihanna had TWO other featured artists who are very successful in their own right, whereas Gaga's was a solo song. So I'd say that the era is off to a very poor start. HOME isn't helping anything.

Who knows what kind of promo they have lined up and even if they don't who cares her album is shaping up to be her most cohesive since Rated R her best work...this song has caught the attention of those who normally wouldn't be checking for her which should help her album sales

That's not impressive and quite underwhelming after the Navy been talking about how R8 and it's lead single was gonna slayyy. You would've though it was gonna be We Found Love on steroids. Just #4 bye, not when Rihanna HERSELF said she only knows how to be #1. Not to mention her soundtrack mess Towards The Sun came and went. Sis didn't quite reach the sun with that

But as far as promo/album release is concerned, Idk what she has planned? She has been hush hush about everything.

Hell, even Madonna is doing more promo than Rihanna. FFS has been out for over a month and has been promoted only once.

Where is the album title? Cover? Release date? Etc.

First of all by making everyone think she'd release something in November. Then by releasing a very weak single. She doesn't seem to have a strong campaign and she has killed most of the excitement with 45S.
(This comes from a stan. R8 will most probably slay but so far the era is a HUGE let down after more than a year of break.)
