Katy did great and had her moment but the fact will remain that this was a highly anticipated SB based off the whole controversy with the deflated footballs, the team rivalry, and the history that could be made with Tom. She was just apart of it and helped contribute. It wasn't all because of her though. I throughly enjoyed myself during her performance and thought she did good. So don't try and make this a "Hive is trying to hate" when I know I'm not.

Yes, the spike during halftime can mostly be attributed to the artist. I say mostly because you have to also account for guest appearance and other factors such as people just getting home and tuning in at halftime, but those factors are not significant in my opinion. It's all an estimate, but to deny completely that a spike in ratings during halftime have nothing to do with the halftime show is absurd.

Pretty sure I read this year's SB/halftime show are now the most tweeted. Also, not being shady, but literally all of the memes were about Beyonce looking... muscular. I don't really think that's something to brag about.
