But the ones least likely are probably Ke$ha just because of what's happening with her career at the moment and maybe Beyonce just because I can't see her going back to the pop fluff she used to create (like 'Single Ladies').
Are Bey fans still using this?
Beyonce: *buys up every banner on iTunes, aka the world's biggest music store*
Fans: NO PROMO SLAY!
Beyonce: *tours*
Fans: NO PROMO SLAY!
Beyonce: *uploads videos to YouTube*
Fans: NO PROMO SLAY!
Beyonce: *performs at the VMAs*

None of this makes sense, so a 2 day banner is huge promotion for a single that wasn't even officially released yet? The banner was for the album, but even that is little promo compared to the way Taylor Swift for example just promoted her lead single and album. Taylor was on all the morning shows, had a huge Target commercial all over the tv 24/7 etc. Compared to a banner on iTunes that was only up for 2 days, I can't.
How is a tour promo for an album that wasn't even released yet?

Uploading videos to youtube, wtf, as if that compares to performing on all the morning shows and having a huge target commercial.
And a VMA performance damn near a year after the album was released, Lord yall gonna have to do better or learn what promo means.
Bey can get another #1 if she promoted like Taylor and Katy. When I say promo, I mean hitting the mornings show, late night shows, performances and commercials like Taylor etc.
Bey did one performance for DIL and still managed to get a #2 single on bb 100. Imagine if she had hit all the tv shows and had a huge Target commercial etc.lol

There's a difference between promoting an album and promoting an individual single. A tour, for example will have no affect on single sales because it encourages fans to buy the entire album. And the fact that your only argument is that she uploaded a video to youtube as promo Drunk in love reached #2, had there been actual promo for the single besides the Grammys she could've gotten to #1. I really don't see how performing a medley at the VMA's 6 months later, an album banner on itunes, a tour and 1 video could ever be considered promo for a song. An album? Sure, but definitely not a song. Bey performed DIL twice in the span of 8 months this year, I don't see how that is beneficial to its sales at all.
FYI - the banner was only for 2 days, December 13th and 14th. Drunk in love wasn't even available for purchase until the 20th of December. By then all the banners were already gone.

Tourin before a album is not promo since she didnt perform any new songs from the album on her tour! I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY YALL DONT GET THIS!
Performing at the vmas, grammys, Britt, was the only PROMOTION that she did for her album! She didn't do any interviews, no today show, and the list goes on and on. Those 3 things are the only **** she did to promote the singles and album! And compared to other female artists thats something they would do in 1 week when thats all she did in 1 YEAR!
SO BYE!
