Exid, BABYMETAL, BTS, AKMU, Marina & Girl's Day's tracks are all amazing.
Obviously love your Megitsune stanning, the feminist anthem of our generation and the best metal song of the 21st century. (Old white Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc. fans can remain pressed about being outdone by teenage girls )
Make it so cool, make it hotter

I've never been a HUGE fan of Hyuna since she's pretty annoying, but Red was a flawless comeback and overall one of my favourites of the year. The song is a bop and a half, while the video is just so explicitly everything it shouldn't be to be socially acceptable that it's borderline genius. Hyuna took on the challenge of being sexy in 2014 - the trend of the year - and did it more outrageously than anyone. I ****ing loved every minute of it.
Cling cling, clasping our little hands... You, me, and our happiness
Cling cling, even in this tiny child the depth of love is still the same
Cling cling, heal everything
I know, because I want to be with you

Perfume are one of my favourite discoveries from 2014 since their stuff blows me away, so I ended up buying the Cling Cling single as soon as it was released and it didn't really do a whole lot for me, in fact I preferred one of the B-sides (Display) for a long time. After I saw them last November though, Cling Cling just clicked with me and I had it on repeat for quite a while. It's a great song and I'm glad I realised that after thinking it was an awful choice for a single. I just saw the lyrics while searching for a line too and asdjkasflkjasf omg the feels. As always, roll on the next single Perfume!

AFTER SCHOOL
I'm lacking common sense, I'm irrational
I understand this in my mind but don't know why
Even when you hurt me I want to take hold of your urges

This song is absolutely incredible, from the insane EDM style production to the girls vocals sounding awesome. Something about this song caught my ear before any other track on the album and still does, it's definitely my favourite from After School's second Japanese album. It might not be the best but it really hits home for me and I love it to pieces.
Fuck you, fuck you
I don't want to lay down next to you as if it's natural

Up there with Red as one of my favourite comebacks of the year is Gain with Fxxk U. Everything about this song should have turned me off really, since I'm not a huge fan of guitar-led ballads and breathy vocals, but it totally knocked the air out of me when it debuted with its powerful video. The song is all about rape within a relationship, making it a hugely controversial topic but due to Koreans overlooking it, unfortunately it had no impact. The duet is beautifully executed though, since Bumkey's vocals are absolutely gorgeous which amplifies the effects of his role as the male in the relationship that believes they're in love so sex is okay, regardless of whether the woman (Gain) wants it. It's a huge internal struggle with no conclusion and the entire thing just has massive replay value. It's pretty amazing stuff.

This song took a while to hit me but the synths from it wiggled their way into my mind just after the first play. Basically this song is INCREDIBLE and one of the best English-language songs of the year, haters sit. Everything about it is phenomenal, from the synth perfection to the repetitions of "who" and "blue". The song really peaks with those horn-like synths though. They're one of my favourite features in a song from the year and they make me want to vomit everything because I still can't hear them enough to get over them aflkjasf;las.
Thanks for the comments by the way everyone!
I didn't realise it had been 5 days since my last update. Now I'm left rushing this and my albums before the 31st.
but seriously good choices, a very colourful update with "Red" and "blue blue".
nice to see Perfume wormed their way into your heart with "Cling Cling"
