Here are few examples to teach you that chart positions aren't the end of the world.
Counting Stars didn't reading #1 but it's still bigger and better than The Monster.
Drunk In Love didn't reach #1 but it's still bigger than What's My Name.
Bad Romance didn't reach #1 but it's still bigger than S&M
Halo didn't reach #1 but it's bigger than Take A Bow.
Gangnam Style didn't reached #1 but it's bigger than SOS.

But that's quite normal that he was on the committee. The committee is made up of industry insiders, producers, managers etc. Anyone can join, once you qualify. Rihanna's has members of her team on the Grammy committee, producers who have worked with some of your fav artists has as well.

I didn't know Rihanna had producers who worked exclusively for her and have taken allegiance to her

I'm not understanding all of this hate for the masterpiece that is Amerie's "1 Thing" at all. It's very bewildering to me and a Grammy is hardly an indication of song quality when there are tons of superb albums and songs every year that don't receive a nomination for one reason or another so that's irrelevant in and of itself.
Also, Britney and Rihanna both won a Grammy for "Toxic" and "Umbrella" respectively so... I still don't get your point.

Y'all are acting like the song hasn't been adapted twice in the past two years alone for different high profile movies.. y'all act like people don't lose their **** every time Beyoncé performs it because it's one of her most universally recognizable and loved singles from just about anyone. And y'all hide behind such minuscule ways to measure success and impact such as sales or chart positions instead of how many people overall the song has reached, and I'm willing to bet money that more people know Crazy in Love than both Umbrella and Toxic. Why? Beyoncé is simply the bigger star.
Sooner y'all accept that the easier y'all's lives will be.. smh yet y'all have the GAUL to call the Hive is 'sensitive' or 'defensive' when y'all literally spend your minutes thinking of which thread y'all can make next trying to discredit her.

It's been 10 years, and CiL and Toxic have pretty much the same digital sales and streaming numbers (Spotify,Youtube). I'd say they'll be just as remembered as one another if they're still neck and neck after 10 years.

Lies were spotted. What's My Name? had significantly more airplay, twice the sales, and like 4X the streaming. And the album it was featured on sold twice as much as the album Drunk In Love is on.
Halo was also not as big as Take a Bow. It only reached #1 in Norway, while again, Take a Bow reached #1 in the US, UK, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, and Slovakia. Also, TAB is 4X platinum vs Halo's 2X Platinum status.

Let me add another
Crazy in Love reached #1 but cant sell digital copies unlike Lose Yourself
Sales not relevant, chart peaks not relevant.

you know damn well what's my name was bigger than DiL
what the **** is this
but yeah I agree just like how
check upon it went no.1 and gangnam style didn't but the latter is still bigger but what would be more fitting in this scenario is how toxic didn't go no.1 but CiL did and it's still bigger

Are you trying to say Why Don't You Love Me wasn't on the RE-release? because it wasn't.

Halo sold more WW and was easily bigger than Take a Bow Drunk was not bigger than WMN though, that was a reach Halo is also under-certified, surpassing 3M in the US years ago. You really need to stop using the bottom of Wikipedia pages as genuine receipts
