The KatyKats comparing Katy to Madonna
Madonna didn't build her legacy strictly through hits
but through boundary-pushing, risk taking moves of which Katy is yet to do
and to answer the question Lady Gaga
Her impact transcends chart peaks

Anyways Katy has more memorable hits. Lady Gaga has like 3 ? That is not very much :/

It's not the number of hits that make you remembered honey. I can give you a lot of artists from 10-20 years ago that are remembered now for 1-2 songs katy just never had an iconic moment ever yet. She's consistent yes.

Amongst gays? Gaga 100%.
Amongst the GP? that is a grey area. Katy will be in the same company as Shania Twain, she will be known for fun songs, emotional ballads, some throwback party songs, for being pretty and having some iconic looks.
Gaga's music will be more of a gimmick with the direction she seems to be going, which in my opinion is hurting her. I am friends with a lot of casual music listeners who dont follow pop like we do, and Gaga is pretty much a buzz kill when anything post-The Fame gets played at a party. Katy on the other hand is always a safe choice, even the straight boys sing along.
So I am going to go with Katy for that reason, Gaga will for sure be remembered, but not for her music, unfortunately.

See this is why people think the monsters are delusional
Like Katy's songs are way more remembered than Gaga's, she gets lots of recurrent airplay and sales, whereas Gaga's songs don't. Gaga had huge success back in 2009 but since then none of her songs are remembered and even her songs from back then aren't really remembered by the GP.
And as for pushing boundaries, the monsters are doing the absolute most with this. Gaga didn't really push any boundaries, she just dressed weird as a gimmick and that's about it. The public got tired of that in like 2 years, if you think in 25 years people will still remember that over Katy's hits

What does Katy have to be remembered for?
Charts? No one of the GP gives a **** about that.
Hits? Any of her singles have yet to stand the test of time.
And welp those are about the only things she has going for her.
Gaga has made an actual impact on people.

Yes, hits are generally what a singer is remembered by
Hot N Cold which is already older than any of Gaga's songs still gets more recurrent airplay and sales than any Gaga song. I Kissed a Girl too was iconic and will be remembered, albeit slightly overshadowed by her bigger hits. Many of TD's hits and Roar and Dark Horse also look like they're shaping up to be recurrent bops that will be remembered and used by the GP.
You are really trying it with the "impact" thing, like what impact has Gaga actually had on the GP? You can sit back down now.

Why Kats are acting like Gaga doesn't have any hits when Gaga sold more records WW than Katy ? Gaga have both hits + impact, Katy doesn't have any.

Taking risks, pushing the boundaries, delivering something new, creativity, etc. Thats impact, Katy doesn't have any of that.

I cant @ Kats acting like #1s are the most important things, when most of the #1s through out the years are either forgotten or didn't stand the test of time at all

I'm pretty sure Roar and Dark Horse have both outsold all of Gaga's singles from this era combined. Actually, I think they've outsold her past four or five singles combined each.

Too bad Gaga's flop era is the only era Katy can top.

You wanna talk about recurrent airplay?

Tell me how her old songs are not remembered when Poker Face reached the 7M mark in USA last year and now is at 7.1M (and BB has yet to post new stats), Poker Face was mentioned on Orange Is The New Black etc.. Stop living in denial. Gaga's old songs are more remembered than all katy's hits, so she will be more remembered in 25 years

Sis do you actually have any reading comprehension skills? Katy's hits have recurrent airplay and sales, along with recurrent views on YouTube, hence her hits are remembered and not forgotten. No one said Gaga didn't have hits but they don't have the same recurrent airplay etc. so they are already somewhat forgotten.
And bye @ your definition of impact. Gaga didn't really do any of these, except maybe with her fashion. Her music has never pushed boundaries or delivered something new and monsters actually buying that is just
