I loved Jonas, but can't get into him as a solo artist. His new style just doesn't feel genuine to me, BUT i'm very happy for his success.

For me it is the complete opposite. Jonas Bros. never felt genuine to me and he and his brothers annoyed me, but Joe's solo album was pretty good and Nick just slayed me left, right and centre solo.

I think it's the other way around. He's always been more soulful, his solo projects (since the beginning) have proved it, also his voice fits this kind of music more and his influences have always been soul/r&b singers so I think the Jonas fase was more forced, that's one of the main reasons they broke up. The discussions about what type of music they should do, since Joe was always more pop/dance and Nick always more r&b/pop.

I just don't get soul from Nick i'm sorry...even though i'm aware that they were fans of that style of music. I just don't go to Nick for blue eyed soul, but he did get very hot. He used to be funny looking to me (I was a joe fan lol)

I hope Teacher is more global than Chains and Jealous. They've only really slayed in English speaking countries right? I think it's a very trendy sound right now so I could see it slaying in Europe

Teacher NEEDS to be huge, it screams worldwide smash hit ala Uptown Funk! but it depends on the video, imo.

He has the hype, he could get the promo, he just needs a good video that can go viral but it's not too controversial so it doesn't ruin his image

I think it's time for Nick's team to also focus a bit more on Global promo
Beside Uk also Germany, France etc. Maybe some Australian promo.

He had a performance in Australia a month ago and went to Germany yesterday but just for two small radio interviews.

I think they're pulling the same UK strategy. When he kept going to do small appearences and we were like: "WTF is he going to do that?" and then he came back and released it and well, the rest is history.

They're starting with just teasing the waters and they (I think) will go full promo with Teacher.

Do you guys think Nick could get a VMA nomination for "Best Male Video"? Even tho his videos are nothing special, but Jealous was a huge smash hit and Chains is already shaping to be as big as Jealous, so I think he could get one nomination based on that alone.

Teacher might if it's a big hit with a
Decent video. Chains maybe since its a pretty good video, but doesn't seem like it will be one of the year defining hits for males. Idk. Jealous is certainly a big enough hit but haaa an atrocious videos so idk
