I'm not a hater. I like Beyonce, and, in fact, bought BEYONCE the week it was released.
I didn't say it wasn't risky, I said that strategy doesn't change the fact the era was frontloaded and wouldn't have done well if she didn't use it.

Some twinks on an internet forum made jokes about something more successful than they will ever be in spite of it going platinum (which isn't easy; not every album these days is doing it) and sells 3 million copies, so it's a flop?
She's still big touring wise and she's an ok album seller, but if she wants to be known for her music and become a legend she needs to get another hit, for the last 5 years she's been known for everything but her music, she's more of a big celebrity than a successful singer at this point.

Fine, Partition was a minor hit and Drunk in Love is a moderate hit.
XO is still a miss and Pretty Hurts is the biggest pop-single-bomb in a long time. Even Just a Fool and G.U.Y. sold more

Dark horse was also way more promoted & was already a hit.

I feel like some members misunderstood post and think that I was trying to shade her. I really wasn't; I'm just saying that she needs hits regardless of their chart position (i.e. they don't have to hit #1).
