it's very generic country thats why people hate it. and gurl please, she doesnt try at all. if she did she would've sent Blown Away to pop radio stations because it would've smashed. (it had potential considering it already sold 2.7M units w/o pop support, #405 on iTunes after 2 years). and i dont get the hate if country artists want to branch out to other genres.. considering they are stereotyped to be stagnant in theirs, why would it hurt if they did want to branch out?
the reason why her songs have pop roots is because she has pop roots and the songs in Blown Away were made to be traditional country which has a little bit of pop sounds and other genres and not all banjos and guitars
Blown Away was the last country album I bought. And from Red, I bought IKYWT and Red. I love crossovers.
