It wasn't as dark as i expected it to be, but it's whole another view on Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent

I'm not surprised in the slightest. It's a children's fairytale that will give children nightmares and cause them to wet the bed. As teenagers and young adults, we can say we'll check it out. But how many people will actually go and see it in theatres when there's stiff competition like The Amazing Spiderman 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Fault in Our Stars, Edge of Tomorrow, Godzilla, A Million Ways To Die In The West and Bad Neighbours.

Most people will just check it out on DVD, if they care to after its reviews.

Saw it yesterday. It's superficially enjoyable but that's about it, every aspect of the film is shockingly thin and weak but you can't take your eyes off of Maleficent herself. The moment she dragged the King through the window was kind of epic though.

Angelina has never been a big box office star. her personal life is in the tabloids which gave the illusion that she is a big star, but she has never actually been a draw. I think the only BO hits she was in were Mr. and Miss Smith and Wanted. she can sell magazines, but not movies. she's basically a glorified Kim Kardashian.
