No, they're all really good. I don't really change my ab workouts up that much though. I'm a massive fan of bosu-ball crunches though. Bosu-balls activate your abdominal muscles way more than just lying flat on your back because you get a wider rotation and engage more of the muscle and stretch the crunch even further. And unlike swiss balls, they don't roll around, they're stable and you don't have to worry about balance.
I'm also a fan of sustained planks because I like endurance training. A lot of people say there's no point holding a plank for more than 1-2 minutes but I think that's bull****. Provided you maintain perfect posture for the whole plank. I usually do them for 8 minutes. But don't let your pelvis dip down. Keep your back perfectly straight, your hips up and your knees bent just a tiny, tiny bit. And each day try and hold it for longer than you did the day before.
I also work in a gym though, so I get free access to every chain in Sydney, including classes, and we have this one class called CXWorx which is AMAZING for your abs.
In all honesty though, if you want to have abs, it's all about diet. Everyone has abdominal muscles. Whether or not you can see them is entirely dependent on the layer of fat covering them. If you just eat chicken, tuna, little bit of red meat, egg whites, vegetables, a little bit of fruit, protein shakes and occasionally some nuts and low-fat cottage cheese, then you'll lose the fat around your torso to reveal your abs. Unless you're naturally skinny, in which case eat everything around you until you feel sick. It's the only way you'll put on muscle.
Also a lot of exercises activate the core anyway, like your squats and your deadlifts. Doing lots of ab workouts won't give you abs though. Having abs is 100% about diet and being lean enough to reveal the abs underneath.
