I wish she was more involved in this project, song writing-wise at least. I mean this is her sixth studio album and I still fail to see her growth as an artist. There are four songs registered under her name on ASCAP ("Grow", "Money, Love & Happiness", "Ouch" and "Take Off") I believe they were meant to be part of that "Original Doll" project. Oh well, as long as we get some performances and interviews I'll be satisfied, I guess.

I believe Britney is an incredible song-writer. Her poems and the songs she had written during The Original Doll/ Rebellion era proved that to me. However; I've noticed that she mainly writes about her personal stuff and she likes to be deep with her lyrics which leads into an obvious rejection by her record label. They don't want her to be emo. =(

I agree, she is more known for her beats and hooks and such.
I think it would give Britney and her album a whole new direction and sound.
It would be awesome to infuse her deeper personal lyrics with hot beats and make a more meaningful album where listeners actually get a glimpse into the life and legend that is Britney Spears..and yet maintain some element of her old style, could widely broaden her fan base,,, if it can even be broadened.

That was pretty much her direction of The Original Doll. But obviously, they scratched the project after everything that had happened and they decided to come out with "Blackout". The last thing the public needed was a trainwreck Britney with an emo album. And this album is a step forward to the old Britney so they will most likely take the "happy & upbeat" direction once again. But I'm pretty sure that her her 7th album will be her Ray Of Light. Britney Spears' most deep and artistic album to date.

Yeah, I loved Blackout, but I heard most of the tracks from Originall Doll, and it wasn't really all that emo, but I could see where fans mightv interpret it that way. Like I said Love blackout, but it seems impersonal compared so of her other stuff, after 9 or ten years of listening to Britney I still feel I dont know all that much about her despite going out of my way on the internet to learn more about her. After 5 cds I was hoping i'd have some small piece of insight to who she is.

Anyways, she's gonna bring it this time, personal or not, it will still be and amazing album because she puts out nothing less, thats why i love this biatch !

Life imitates art. The most used word in Britney's discography is "CRAZY". I've been reading the lyrics of some songs that I used to skip on her first albums and i think it's either those lyrics were written SPECIFICALLY for her or it influenced her on the long term.
