The thing is, the Hot 100 is a combination of many different demographics. For young people maybe Counting Stars doesn't seem that big anymore, but maybe to a 40 year-old Counting Stars might still seem like one of the biggest songs.

And on the old people stations (AC) it's still #1. Makes sense.

As I said in February, I'm ready for Birthday to overtake Happy and for Billboard to use a cheesy happy birthday reference.
I sure hope that Happy hits #1 by mid to late May.
