The tragic M stans in this thread….
Let's just hope he's permabanned
Y'all can stay mad at the QUEEN'S success with her tour. Selling 80% out of a tour that doesn't start till May/Fall. She better get money

Unless I've misunderstood, he's saying that as of now - and therefore, at minimum - she's set to gross $900,000 a night. When they sell out, it'll be more.

I didn't even know it was allegedly flopping. I'm more surprised by her low projected gross per show. I mean, 26 million for 29 shows?

We are months away from the start of the tour. The article clearly stated the fact that tickets are 80% sold out and grossed already 26m.
That's gonna be around 33m when all the shows will be sold out, without the additional 6 shows which will be added in the next few weeks.
Btw, no shade, but as far as I'm concerned Rih only did 32m from 38 us shows and Dwt still was one of the top tours of last year

Not for someone on Gaga's touring status when for example US examples -
Miley, LA: $1,180,766
Rihanna, Chicago: $1,234,380
Taylor, Louiseville: $1,246,491
P!nk, New Jersey: $1,285,608
Bey, LA: $1,954,343
900k would indicate she is grossing less than her peers, of course these numbers are not fair as I just picked random single shows, but I would expect Gaga to be making at least 1.4-1.5M a night average.

Ah, that makes much more sense. 80% sold at 900k = $1,125,000 at 100% sold then

at you taking those girls' highest grossing dates from the US and comparing them to Gaga's numbers that are only at 80% as of right now.
Beyonce: Arena at Gwinnett Center - $1,089,710
And there's no way of knowing how much the gross would be at 100% because it depends on which tickets are still for sale. Considering she's playing at some of the same places she did last time, her average will more than likely be in the $1.2-5m range.

When will you guys stop obsessing over Gaga? If she were to be a flop why is she still selling more than 900k ?

but they say she's making an average of 900,000$ a show for this tour then. that IS a huge decline. of course she's not doing terrible but it's a fact that some of her shows haven't sold out yet months after they have been on sale. (we're not talking about second or extra dates, we're talking about the first show of a country) and again this is not a huge flop by any means, but you have to admit that it's doing worse than her previous tour(s).

The struggle. You have the chairman of LN literally saying the tour is a success and you can't just admit it is. You have to come up with some kind of BS like, "it's a decline, omg". No, the shows are $900,000 at 80%, meaning it'll be well over $1,000,000 at 100%, which is right on par with her other tours. And the shows selling out in seconds or months, it doesn't matter as long as they sell out.
Why do you Madonna fans bring up "previous tours"? By your own logic, the MDNA tour flopped because it grossed $100,000,000 less than S&S. Or does this logic not apply to Madonna?

Whatever the performance of Lady Gaga's latest album "ARTPOP," the artist has, earlier in her career than most, built a reputation as a compelling live act, which creates a dynamic apart from an album's success, or lack thereof.
|
Great. So we can use this as a receipt to show the tour is 80 percent sold out but also to say the album is a flop as per the above quote.
The same source that says the tour is a success says the album isn't. So if you want to use this, you need to be prepared to take the album as a flop. You don't get it both ways.

It mattered in the previous thread when he shows sold out on "5 mins" in the UK.....

No no, I'm happy to say that the tour may be a success but it's still a decline (after 6 years in the business) from her last tour as per the previous Madonna fan) - I'm also happy to say that the MDNA tour that entered into the top 10 greatest grossing tours of all time, second only to herself was a decline to her previous sticky and sweet, after 30 years in the business
