Cara Delevingne Premiers "Luxury" at The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
Cara Delevingne finished performing live on TV minutes ago at the Victoria's Secret Latest fashion show. Cara, who modeled for Victoria's secret multiple times, performed with unexpectedly amazing vocals her new single that features Rihanna (who appeared on the runway to support Cara's performance wearing a pastel pink outfit). Prior to "Luxury", Cara also performed a remixed version of her debut #1 single "Magazine". Her outfit was fabulous and was composed of a golden leotard with amazing butterfly shaped ornaments all around it. During "Magazine" she also was wearing a white fur coat over the leotard, that go along really well with the enormous Christian Louboutin heels she was wearing. The performance amazed the crowd who were surprised by seeing Cara with a stronger voice then in previous performances, probably due to the tour on which she had to perform nearly every night and intensive vocal training.

Paige Elliot: "'S/E/X' is the start of a giant movement"
Paige Elliot recently premiered her new single, "S/E/X", for the public's first hearing. The single, which releases for purchase later on the morning of March 1, 2014, features outlandish, provocative lyrics mixed with monologues about sex as something that shouldn't be hidden.
When spoken to about the monologues throughout the song, along with various other themes shown within it, Paige stated the following:
"It's actually the beginning of a huge thing. The album, also titled 'S/E/X', is definitely a very sexual album, obviously, but it's more than that. It's not being sexy and naughty for the sake of being explicitly shocking. I'm trying to make a point with it. I call it 'slu**y with a purpose'. The song, which generally explains my views on sex, is the start of a giant movement that I'm trying to make. It's sex-positivity, it's against s**t-shaming, it's feminist and much more."
She then further described the themes she brought into the song:
"Sex is always seen as such a bad thing nowadays, even though people think we're in one of the most sex-obsessed eras that the world's ever been in. I mean, I turn on the TV and I just see women in bikinis, women in lingerie, women grinding on men and the whole lot, yeah, but it's not about sex exposure-- it's about sex acceptance. People are saying that, even with all of this right in front of us, that it's awful. They treat sex like a taboo. The worst part of it, for me, is how women are treated, especially in comparison to men. Women who aren't ashamed to show off their bodies, to be sexy, to have sex or whatever end up getting attacked and bashed for it. A girl can go out in a tank top and she'll be called a hooker. She can sleep with one guy and she'll be called a skank and a s**t and a w***e and the whole nine yards forever. Women can't do anything sexual anymore. But guys? Guys can screw an entire cheerleading team and they'll get high fives from their buddies and get called a 'player' in a joking manner and have fun about it. Guys can get away with anything in regards to sex. Another way to view that is how people view rape nowadays-- if a girl gets raped, it's not 'Were you drugged?' or 'What did the guy look like?' or 'Do you have anything that can help us get the rapist?'. No. Girls get 'What were you wearing?' and 'Did you come on to him?' and 'How much were you drinking?'. A woman gets ****ing raped and she gets questioned as if rape is her fault. I'm sick and tired of all the sexism in... sex. The sexism is my biggest problem, and not just for the fact that I'm a woman. I just see all of these things happen to girls and I'm so done with all of it. It needs to stop... But back onto the sex as a taboo thing, I think sex should be taken more lightly. Sex shouldn't be so private or hated on or called dark and stuff. Sex is sex. It's in all of our lives, regardless of how you look at it. Sex can be for pleasure, or sex can be for reproducing. Either way, sex is not BAD, so people shouldn't treat it like it is. That's why I made the era like this-- I can have fun with it, make fun music and look like what people call a skank, but I mean to do it to break the rules and make some change. I'm not gonna have an album full of feminist rants, because I get that it can be overwhelming, but at least know my message through this. Yeah, I'm being apparently promiscuous, but I'm doing it for the best. I'm not a s**t, I'm a revolutionist."
The single, "S/E/X", will be available on iTunes and Amazon in the morning, along with physical releases in various retailers. Be sure to pick up a copy and support Paige Elliot's movement.

I remember the grammy effects I gave y'all were huge. 4 albums had 1M+ sales weeks & none of them were new And I didn't even LIKE majority of CAL3. I was so generous

Taylor Swift for Billboard
Taylor Swift unexpectedly released a brand new promotional single from her upcoming album to be released sometime this year. The song mysteriously popped up on Swift's website, twitter, youtube, and lastly the digital retailer iTunes at midnight. Written by Swift on her own and produced by new producer Space Mills, the song takes on a new sound for the most influential woman in music today. In a blog, Swift talked about the song saying;
Quote:
"Loving The Wrong Way was probably (one of) the hardest songs to write for the album. It's so honest and really speaks about the emotions you're going through when you're in the situation I was in. You know, you promise yourself that this is the last time you're going to keep doing something you shouldn't for or with that person. But you always fall through the floor whenever they look at you. It's a song that really defines the experience all too well."
"It's very different to anything I've done before. There's actually some hip-hop influences in there. And oddly nothing else on the album sounds quite like this song. It's different but sort of has that very vulnerable sound to it. Spence did an amazing job producing it for me because as soon as the song starts you hear some gorgeous strings. Then you have the piano, the bass drop, the riffs. It's gorgeous and it's almost like the production was an odd match for the lyrics, because it sounds nothing like the demo."
|
Tonight, Taylor sat down with us to talk about the inspiration behind the dark song and also behind the upcoming album she descibes as a huge move in her career. See the star talk openly about some former flames while dishing some details in her future. You can also see the first performance of 'Loving The Wrong Way'.
"All at Once was quite successful for you. We're wondering what your goals are for this record?"
"I would love for people to interpret the album I'm about to release thouroughly before judging. But they won't."
"What do you mean by that?"
"It's not really the definition of a family friendly album. It adresses some dark themes and I think that may be a bit shocking to those who have supported me for awhile."
"So what can we expect from the album?"
"A diverse, muli-genre album that's very deep and kind of tragic in a way. The album has a very sad feeling to it. Even the songs that have raging beats, they still exude anger and saddness."
"How different is it from RED or All At Once?"
"It's certainly more diverse than both. RED was more country and All At Once sort of followed in it's footsteps but this record is really diverse. Like each song sounds entirely different in terms of production and vocals."
"What genres can we expect on the record?"
"Rock, pop, electro, edm, some retro stuff and maybe even a very laid back raggae song."
"No country for this album?
"There's a song on the deluxe but other than that nope."
"Loving The Wrong Way is the first promotion single. Is there a reason why you chose it?"
"It's not the best song off the album but it's still very exceptional. It's the perfect tease for the album without giving too much away."
"What or who inspired this album?"
"Someone who's really important to me. Someone I've never felt so strongly about before. This album is a tell all."
"No names?"
"You guys will figure it out soon enough."
"Since All At Once was about John, how are you feeling about it now?"
"I almost forgot until now."
"If Loving The Wrong Way is a promo single what will we get with the lead single?"
"You get your answer who the album is about with the lead single. Expect someting rock-pop influenced. A catchy chorus, some really sexy but intimidating lyrics. Just expect a really hot sweet pop-rock song."
