If it wasn't for BEYONCE'S help to score Shakira a hit in 07' Shaki's career would have been non-existent in the US since "Hips Dont Lie" [maybe even WW that year until 2010] and before HDL 5 years. Shakira is only known for two hits here ["Whenever Wherever" being the other from what seems like ages ago]. Is that all you guys are holding on to?

Beyonce's help? Shakira was comming off a extremely successful era and just had the most successful song of the decade. If someone was using the other that was Beyonce considering Shakira gave her her biggest hit in Europe and the most successful song of her era.

Shakira has the best selling track in Spanish on the US. Recently Waka Waka and She Wolf are both platinum in the US. Give it up to Me is gold. And she just didn't release english music since then until CRTFY which is currently at #15 on Billboard Hot 100

So, what you're saying is that you are proud of your fave's successful drugstore perfumes and B-Movies? That doesn't make her a household name.
