I love Beyonce but I think despite her amazing success she's always been very local, the GP probably doesn't even know her in South America
Were you in a slumber the past year? The Mrs. Carter World Tour & the I Am... World Tour are PROOF enough that she isn't as "local" as people claim her to be. Plus her most recent album, which charted at #1 in over 106+ countries on iTunes for several days, is enjoying tremendous success world wide without any conventional promo. If that doesn't speak for her globalness, then I don't know what will.
By the way, Brazil is one of Beyonce's biggest markets so I don't even know what you're trying to say. :laughs:
OP: I would say no. She has her iconic moments such as Beautiful, Lady Marmalade, Genie In a Bottle, and the Stripped era in general but she is nowhere near as iconic as Britney or Beyonce. As much as people like to discredit Britney these days, there is no denying that she is the face of the bubblegum teen era of the late 90s/early 00s and that is something that won't be erased. This is not to discredit Christina though.
The fact that she needs to be on TV every week to stay in people's minds
Or that she needs collabs to finally get a hit
And still can't sell albums #JusticeForBionic #JusticeForLotus #JusticeForAnyOfChristina'sFutureEndeavors
WELPT
How is that a bad thing? I'd say that's better than the reason why Beyonce has stayed in people's mind for the last few years because of allegations of lip synching and allegations of not carrying her child
And Christina doesn't have the advantage Beyonce does for urban radio when she lost pop radio play like Christina. Completely different sitations
BOMT alone is more iconic and remembered than Christina's entire career. As for Beyoncé, her only iconic video is Single Ladies, so.
Well sis get your facts right.. Beyonce has been making iconic videos since the birth of destinys child ... But u are cute tho ... Don't try to reach that high u might hurt yourself
You're either iconic or not. There are no levels of iconicness. They all are music female icons. Both Britney and Beyoncé have had more memorable career moments, but that doesn't diminish Christina's career.
Aguilera hasn't lived up to her potencial and she is paying the price. She will always be regarded as one of the best vocalist of all time, and she was one of the most successful female singer in the '00s (second only to Britney according to Billboard) that will be enough to make her somehow memorable to future generation.
One of the few posts in here that actually makes some damn sense
You can't be serious. It is one of the most GP exposed album releases in music history. Sky News, CNN, Fox and more all reported it as breaking news, literally everyone knew about it.
I'm serious. I know that news was reported. That doesn't make it iconic though. The GP is going to remember certain things about Beyonce. The GP doesn't follow album sales to understand or care about the gravity of what she did.

Honey you didn't just spill the tea, you POURED the tea

Are you seriously implying that these manufactured scandals are the only thing that keep her relevant?
Do you live on planet earth?
Beyonce is not on the level of some vapid, drug addicted Lindsay Lohan/Paris Hilton tabloid scandal star

It will be remembered years from now the same way BOMT's opening sales were remembered. MAJOR openings like those don't just get forgotten

No she has NOT STAHP
Beyonce videography is nothing special with the exception of Singles Ladies... Hell even her discography is nothing special compared to her peers. No tea no shade... she has her iconic moments, but not much iconic work.
