I don't think you got what the poster meant.
If "flop" can be considered worse than "underperformance", than the poster was pointing out how calling Gaga a flop would logically imply that anyone who only did so much better than Gaga all the way up to and including Bey, but not including the astronomical successes of Taylor and Adele in the US, is an underperformance, and since that's clearly not true (I mean look at how Bey is slaying), it's drastic and unreasonable to call Gaga a flop.
