YES. OMG, you are an absolute genius. And you even referenced Adele! I love you even more now, lol. Honestly, though... Adele had two of the biggest songs of all-time with "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You", and then she managed to get a third #1 with "Set Fire to the Rain". "Rumour Has It" peaked at #16 with no promo whatsoever and "Turning Tables" still charted despite the messiness of the single release and how scattered it was. I don't think Bey will just stop promoting her singles, though, unless she becomes pregnant again or experiences similar vocal problems to what Adele had. Starting off with her best tracks is probably a smart move, and "XO" has a lot of potential. Winter isn't exactly a great time for the song, I see it as more of a spring single, but you know what? Oh well. It's going to smash regardless. I don't know if radio is ready for this kind of slayage, though. Bey, ha impact!!!

Let's be e-friends.

But no, I agree. I don't see the point in saving the best tracks, especially not when you have a strong album. Another great seller: Usher Confessions, he released his biggest hits in the beginning, "Yeah" and "Burn" like a month or so apart and IT WORKED!
Fingers crossed, this strategy works for Bey too.
