Britney has had a way better run than Xtina, and although her sales constantly decline between albums at least she stopped that trend with "Circus" which outsold her previous record "Blackout". just because of that I can say that Britney's entire career was not a non-stop decline like your fave's.

Britney got her biggest tour 11 years after her debut in 2009. and even #1 singles in 2011

Your fave doesn't get any solo achievement since 2003.

You guys always do this when Xtina gets any sort of success. Then she releases a solo song, flops and the fighters scurry away. Xtina is not the sole reason for SS has another artist attached to it- a new artists that's never had a hit before, an occurrence that happened a lot this year. "Indie" music was huge this year and a lot of indie artists got hit with the spotlight and this is just another one of those cases. Christina was just lucky enough to be on the feature. I mean- she obviously sounds great and she's a big contribution to the song but she is not the most important part..

Also, why are we only looking at iTunes charts?
Britney is ruining Xtina with YouTube views. There are literally millions more people checking for Britney's new videos than Xtina's. YT isn't just some little video site anymore, it's a huge part of the music community and is a tool to measure success. Just because people aren't buying BJ (& I don't blame them) doesn't mean they have forgotten who she is.

People are buying SS because A Great Big World is new, interesting and actually good.
People are viewing WB/P because it's Britney Spears (alone) and people love seeing what the legend is up to.

britney got her biggest tour in era that is wholly an outlier because of what happened in her personal life. Why do you think her following tour declined more than 50%, and she's now doing a Vegas residency at 2nd rate Caesar's Palace?

I know Britney's albums have declined , but she had one that reversed that trend "Circus" outselling "Blackout" ..... something that hasn't happened in Xtina's career (despite the fact she had less albums and it should be easier).

and a Vegas residensy is not bad , Legends like Celine and Elton have those deals. Are deals for icons and legends.

and don't come and say "Celine is irrelevant now blah blah".... Her new album outsold anything Xtina has done since "B2B"

For studio albums, Blackout to Circus was a huge increase. For all albums, Femme Fatale was a huge step-up from The Singles Collection.

Are you really trying to shade touring right now? TCSBS was humongous and FFT was a flop because Britney refused to promote. I'm sure Vegas won't be huge either because she still refuses to promote, but even if it gets canceled after one show (which it won't since she has 6 dates already sold-out) that would still be a number you can't laugh at.

Man , Chart numbers indicate that on the BILLBOARD YEAR END CHART - TOP ARTISTS OF 2013. Britney was #38, and Christina was #83.

there's nothing to disccuss about that, as the other user said, charts are very clear. and Britney as usual was bigger in 2013.

Vegas residency is what artists do as their last resort. Can you imagine Beyonce doing that instead of selling out WW? No because Beyonce is a reigning top artist. Christina will be one too if she takes advantage of the GP's thirst for her and releases an album soon next year. Britney has no chance unless she surprises us by being a decent performer again.
