Favorite Lyrics: "Hands out the window, got my toes up on the dash"
Much like with her first album, Lauren places higher on my list than her counter part Scotty. While this song deserves to be placed higher on my list, the lack of promotion and a video really set this song back. I am really hope the best for Lauren when her sophomore album is finally released and country radio finally embraces her.

Alicia Keys - Brand New Me
Favorite Lyrics: "I found a brand new kinda free"
While not in the same boat as Lauren, Alicia falls quite a bit from her peak with this song and by no means is it because I don't like the song as much any more, it is just sadly I forgot about this song for quite a while. Still, this peak is better than me completely forgetting about the song completely.

Matchbox Twenty - Overjoyed
Favorite Lyrics: "I will tell you secrets God only knows"
Making their first of two appearances is Matchbox Twenty and their ballad Overjoyed. While I love Rob's voice and the smoothness to it, the edgier stuff will always to my favorite list.

Jake Owen - Days of Gold
Favorite Lyrics: "Stealing hearts and running wild, Yeah our own little world Tennessee"
Jake wasted no time getting his follow up to his successful Barefoot Blue Jean Night album out and Days of Gold feels a little weaker than it predecessor, it is still worth not only as a follow up single but as the debut single of his next album. Here is to hoping that Beachin' does better than the lead single did.

Of Monsters & Men - King and Lionheart
Favorite Lyrics: "Howling ghosts – they reappear, In mountains that are stacked with fear"
TLDR: Loved it for a while, but sadly not enough longevity.

The Cab - Angel With A Shotgun
Favorite Lyrics: "I don't care if heaven won't take me back. I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe."
While Bad was the first single of theirs to appear on my countdown, Angel With A Shotgun was the first song of theirs I heard. For the past two years I have been waiting for this song to be released as a single. Sadly when it was given "single" treatment it didn't go anywhere and that made me quiet sad. I just hope next album they release is amazing and has more songs like this one.

Gavin DeGraw - Best I Ever Had
Favorite Lyrics: "You’re my neon gypsy, my desert rain"
I am really ashamed that I didn't give this song a listen to back when it was first starting off. It has the same spunk as most of the single with Gavin that I love. I am gonna do my best to give Make A Move the treatment that I wish I gave this song.

Brad Paisley - Beat This Summer
Favorite Lyrics: "But the sun keeps settin', the days go fast, And the sand on the beach is like an hourglass"
Beat This Summer comes off Brad's latest album Wheelhouse. Much like most of the songs on the album, they are very uplifting and enjoyable to listen to. With there being so many great songs on the album I hope that this song isn't the peak single of the album.

Down With Webster - Party For Your Life
Favorite Lyrics: "Blinded by city lights, Caught up in your own dream, Don’t hold back now"
Probably the biggest letdown of this song is the video. Yeah, the song is nowhere as upbeat as it should be, but the video is nothing but movie and tv scenes and that just really doesn't show anything that all interesting. Love the song like most of their stuff though.

Avril Lavigne - Here's To Never Growing Up
Favorite Lyrics: "They say just grow up, but they don't know us, We don't give a ****, and we're never gonna change"
And finishing just short of the top 100 is Here's To Never Growing Up. By ever means, this song deserves to be in the top 100, but as does every other single that made that part of my favorites. This is the first of two appearances for Avril, will Rock N' Roll or Let Me Go be her final appearance, be sure to keep watching to find out.
So many great songs in this set! Overjoyed, AWAS, Best I Ever Had especially.
I'm almost positive you snubbed Rock N Roll. It's my favorite single from this era.
I, honestly, feel the same way about "King and Lionheart". It's still a really good song, but it doesn't hold up in the same way that "Little Talks" and "Mountain Sound" do after a while.
Brand New Me is such a nice song and good ballad that Alicia does well. Overjoyed is another sweet ballad, like the Jake Owen song, not so much longevity, but great appreciation I can give to that solid storytelling it has for King and Lionheart, Angel With a Shotgun is nice, Best I Ever Had is HAC ear candy, haven’t care for Brad(or Country music in general) in 2013. Good set with such nice sounds. Hope that we can see the top 100 any time now.
