Harlem Shake
I'm sure you've forgotten about it by now, but the Harlem Shake was, in my opinion, the biggest craze of 2013. Its impact is absolutely undeniable as a few small videos instantly blew up and took over the Internet. By now, over 1,400,000 thirty-second videos to Baauer's instrumental-only track Harlem Shake have been made, a lot of them having over a million views. The craze was reported all over the world and it even caused Baauer's song to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks straight due to all the streaming. Whether you hated or loved it, whether you made a video or only watched others, you couldn't escape this earlier this year. It may have only become a trend for about two months, but it blew up in unbelievable ways.
