This, really. Like, things listed in the OP like "bite my tongue" and "hold my breath" are expressions, not clichés. Katy's not a very original songwriter by any means but about 90% of these are absolute reaches or just outright wrong.

I definitely think Katy uses a lot of clichés, but this list really contains a lot of reaches.

But this is seriously going to ruin my Prism repeat, I mean this album should be called cliche instead of prism. And now that I read them 226 lines, I don't think I'll be able to enjoy Prism.

Expressions can become cliché when used too many times.... "Bite my tongue" is definitely cliché at this point.
