Oh, the shiny jewel. It is the currency for this game. And just like in life, you do not need riches to succeed, but damn, they sure help, don't they?
HOW TO GET 'EM
Obtaining jewels is easy to understand but difficult to execute.
At any given time, I will post a jewel on this board plus a qualifier. If the person who posts meets that qualifier, then they will receive the jewel! Jewels cannot be given to other players. Also, the number of jewels a person has will be kept private. There will be times when winning jewels will be public, however it will not always be the case.
THE SHOP
Jewels have one purpose - to be spent on items in the Shop. To buy an item, just PM me. Each item is priced and has a certain number in stock. Items in the shop come and go each day, so you'll never know what you'll find - just because there are 10 of them in today doesn't mean they won't all be shipped out tomorrow. Contestants are allowed to spend as many jewels at the Shop per day as they like. All items come with a detailed explanation of when they can be used. All purchases are kept confidential.
All purchases must be confirmed by me before they are final.
WHAT'S IN STOCK RIGHT NOW? (2 in stock)
Cost: 3 Jewels
Description: If elected LOTD, you may choose to stray away from the traditional pattern of giving obstacles to three people and instead give DOUBLE OBSTACLES to two people(-4 votes each) or a TRIPLE OBSTACLE to one person (-6 votes).
How To Use: When electing your obstacles each day, state that you are using your Elastic and then state the names of the recipient(s). It can will only be used if you are elected LOTD; if not, you will still have it.
Bleach (1 in stock)
Cost: 3 Jewels
Description: Use this to force the contestants to vote out TWO people in one day.
How To Use: Send me a message stating that you will be using Bleach for the following day. It must be confirmed one day in advance - you cannot inform me on the same day you would like to use it.
Magnifying Glass (3 in stock)
Cost: 1 Jewel
Description: Make one round of voting public.
How To Use: Send me a PM confirming that you will be using the Magnifying Glass for the current round of voting. All votes will still be mailed privately and the contestants will have no idea it has been used, but I will reveal who voted for who the following day.
Gasoline (3 in stock)
Cost: 1 Jewel
Description: Give an additional elimination vote to one person.
How To Use: In your elimination vote, state that you are using your Gasoline and then state the name of the recipient. You can use it on the same person you voted out or another contestant.
Fire Extinguisher (3 in stock)
Cost: 1 Jewel
Description: Take away an elimination vote from one person. You can use this on yourself.
How To Use: Send me a PM and state that you are using your Fire Extinguisher and then state the name of the recipient. It will be used in the current round of voting.

That's why I actually really liked the time. Maybe people still haven't quite gotten used to the daily PMs that need to be sent.
