Kinda shocked and pissed that 1D made it to #2, but I'm sure that it will drop out of the top 10 next week, if not it'll stick around at #8-10.

1D really came hard with that one. I've a feeling this will do a bit well when it comes to longevity (maybe it will not reach WMYB's level of longevity, but at least it would do better than their other singles). They're holding up pretty well on iTunes and doing good on radio. I might be wrong though, but I'm hopeful that they will have another smash hit.

Pretty unlikely. Last I checked she wasn't even in the top 50 on itunes. She would need some major radio play in addition to the video to have a shot at top 10. We will see what kind of radio updates it gets.

I wouldn't say they "blocked" 1D since under normal circumstances BSE's performance wouldn't have gone #1 anyways.

The only reason they got #2 is that all of their competition had major weaknesses. Miley's was Radio, Radioactive had mediocre sales and streaming compared to the competition, and Get Lucky is over on itunes. Blurred Lines was simply taking up too much oxygen which allowed a debut to slip in.

"Lines" leads by a comfortable margin, however, registering 35% more overall points than the chart's new runner-up. ("Lines" loses just 2% of its total from last week.)

I'm terrible with percentages but is 35% in overall points a lot?
