This is only fair, back in the day they used to count jukebox plays for the charts, a song streamed is a song listened therefore a song "consumed" so it should count for certifications.

RIAA is only keeping up with the times if not their info would not represent the reality of the music industry.

They shouldn't mix Digital Sales and Streaming. It should be separate just like Mastertones, Physical Singles, Digital Singles...

So they didn't mix Physical and Digital Sales in the past but they mixed Digital sales and streaming. It doesn't make any sense
